Remix challenge

I'm playing on PC and I'm trying to progress through the event tome. I'm on both of the remix challenges for killer and survivor.I select the remix challenge for survivor, and in my loadout, it shows that my perks will be random for the match, but once the match starts I don't have any perks equipped at all and even though I do what I need for the challenge anyway it doesn't count.
