Is there a reason why killer tunnel and focus all game one survivor and being nice after?

Lot of match recently, the killer seems to only focus only one survivor, tunnel him at the beginning, face camp, and after this one is dead, just playing normally or being nice with the other survivor

And for some of them, the killer insult or laught about the survivor who was killed at the beginning

There's... Reason to do that? It's acceptable now this kind of attitude? I know some killer only focus and play toxic against TTV because "of reason" these people find fun to make these player mad.. I guess... You got some strange activity ? But here, it's not a survivor who have TTV or it seem's not having a special username so... Somebody know why doing that? (I'm not talking about "tactical issue" where killer tunnel for winning, like I say, after that, the killer seems "softer")

Typically, Killers want to win but don't want to play super sweaty all game. Its much easier to make the game a 3v1 early on, then play chill the rest of the game. If I have a rough game, typically ill do this my following game.

I'll tunnel one out, then 2 hook each other survivor before killing anyone. This isn't going to change with the anticamp mechanics, as I go straight to hook after they are unhooked, but far enough away that I get a devour stack (if I have it on).

I also play survivor and know how horrible this is to play against. Its an extremely efficient strategy that works almost every time. I have a better outcome with this strategy then having 2 hooks on each survivor before I start death hooking.

Note: I mainly play M1 killers like Pig, Plague, or Ghostface.

Like I said, it's seems not about "tactical issue" I understand why some killer need to tunnel one of the survivor for winning, ok, that's "normal"

Here, is more like, he tunnel the survivor, facecamp him of proxy, and IF he was unhook, tunnel him again and give no ######### about the other, after his dead, the killer was just chilling, not even "winning" (if you think that winning is getting a 4K)

And with this, in the endgame chat, just laughting about the survivor who was dead or insulting him, it's very ... Strange

Note: We are two lover of Amanda it seem's, but I play more Blight, Leg's, Knight or Trappy/Nemmy

During the event, I have seen some killers tunnel out people who dont bring cakes.

Probably only they can answer. Maybe after the sacrificed someone at 5-4 gens they realized they don't have to go as hard?

You only know who didn't bring a cake at the end of the game, how can you see that at the beginning? Like you memorize the place in the lobby and you see the cake in the loading screen, like that you can know?

    And the mocking/insulting part?

If one person doesn’t bring a terrormisu and everybody else does, they get tunneled out.

    That’s probably what you’re seeing.

Maybe they hate some survivors. So when they see them, they are tunnelling them out. Who knows... You should ask them.

Yes, you can tell who used what offering. It's easy to tell. Survivor names and offerings ordered with same placement.

If everyone brings an offering, they go in order on the menu you see when you hit escape. The only way you can't 100% tell is if they bring no offering at all.

    You teach me something

Actually, all my game, killer or survivor, all survivor bring one Terrormisu, or sometimes... A flan, but most of the times, when I play survivor, I see a lot of killer who bring a Memento

Maybe they think they're being funny. Idk. Earlier I played against a Legion who facecamped and kept hitting me on hook, but after they unhooked me he didn't care all that much about me and let us all go. I have no idea what he was trying to communicate cause frankly it was a lot of mixed messages. Maybe he thought he was being funny since I took him out of his power like 2-3 times during the game, idk. Sometimes it's really hard to tell.

I only tunnel out survivors that are doing two specific things

One is them trying to make forced flashlight saves. Example doing nothing but flashlight saves and not helping the team sometimes sandbagging the team to get flashlight saves

The other type of person I tunnel out is those who are choosing a build to bully me so that I can never get a hook on them aka boil over flip flop tenacity and breakdown or unbreakable and when I am in chase choose to go to high places to force ledge falls

Normally I play farm runs unless a challenge requires me to get hooks or kills then I will play more serious for kills or just the 8 hooks then goof off I normally try to get everyone without tunneling but sometimes accidental tunnel happens

Something about the order of survivors in lobby, and the order of offerings I think.

If everybody brings an offering, the order they are in the pause menu, corresponds with the order of the survivors on the screen.

Just a case of the DBD community being how it always has been even after 7 years.

    Never change DBD, never change.

    (I still love this game)

I’ve had weird games like that even outside of the anniversary. Sometimes I think killer players might just take a liking to certain people… I had a game against a Nemesis yesterday who had no problem camping. When it was just me and one other player he had him on his second hook and as I was saving him the Nemesis was on his way back. I knowingly blocked him off so that the other guy would have a chance to escape even if it meant I’d get hooked I didn’t care. I think he respected that. He started nodding at me and I wasn’t sure what was going on… eventually I just started healing myself and a zombie wandered in so I tried to move away and he killed the zombie so I could finish healing. Then I went to work on gens and he eventually found the other guy again and by time I got back to him it was too late but he later led me to the hatch.

I had a game against an Oni and got saved by a Nea player and made it to the exit gates. She didn’t. So after I healed up I went for the save as the hook was near the gates knowing I’d just be giving up my escape for hers. After she got out he chose not to put me on the hook, closed the hatch, and then dropped me off at the exit gates. When I play killer I really respect altruistic actions and people giving up their win to help others have a better game.

Every killer player is different, but some of them are just weird lol myself included

When pulling up the menu mid-match; you can see the order of offerings. The order of the offerings correlates with the Survivors who brought them. If a Survivor didnt bring an Offering, there will be a gap or displacement present.

Survivors top to bottom; Offerings left to right.

Good tip for knowing who brought Map Offerings, so you know who may have brought perks around the map (Balanced on Haddonfield; Boil Over on Eyrie; etc).

But it takes awhile to get use to, if you practice looking and predicting which belongs to who, youll become a master at it in no time!

Probably this. It sort of proves they had a sweaty match before (perhaps against SWF?) so they use the same mechanics immediately. Then after they realise the team is not that sweaty because one is out. And the recognition of SoloQ also kicks in.

It’s not sure-fire. If survivors don’t bring offerings the remaining offerings don’t necessarily correspond to the correct survivor. You always know the killer’s offering though because it’s on the second line.
