Event powers
I just wanna know who came up with the special abilities for this event because when I play survivor, I get to block a window (which only helps in rare locations because most killers won't vault windows anyway) or I can pull up a 1 time use pallet, that i have to be standing still to activate because it won't let me activate while running, and then if you miss the stun, you're dead because you're in pallet drop animation and the pallet disappears like a dream pallet.
Meanwhile I switch over to killer and I can get free enduring on a pallet stun if I think I'm about to take a stun. If i don't take the stun, I can just break the pallet for free???? And then just end the loop immediately and catch them in like 10 seconds.
It's like painfully easy as killer and painfully unfun as survivor when I think I have a good jungle gym to use and the killer just Debo's his way through like "What pallet?"
(just ranting for funsies, I know it's a limited time thing and won't matter eventually)

Imagine if you could sabotage a hook from 6m or something.

Survivors got the short end of the stick on this just like usual

I suppose the powers are a bit skewed but I find the powers to be super fun new toy to play with while playing the game
If these were permanent changes I'd agree that this is something that would need more balancing but being a 3 week thing, I'm not all that bothered by the slight power imbalance.

what does sabotaging a hook have to do with the event powers???

I just really don’t like the free Exposed ability. The other mechanics don’t bother me.
7 -
Yes the original snowmen were such a short stick.
Both roles have had big sticks in events

It's a suggestion of what event powers could have been alternatively. If you could sabotage hooks with the invitation it would be a lot more useful than blocking the window possibly, and a decent counter to the expose power killers have atm.

ah okay. i read it sarcastically like "just sabo hooks 4head"

The window blocking thing makes playing against Legion actually fun.
I hope they turn this into a perk. I'll run it all day every day just on the off chance I get a Legion.

Please, no. Please. Let's not go there. I don't want to be forced to slug everyone during the event and I don't think you'd appreciate getting slugged every game either.

best event ever if u ask me! been super fun so i just haven't care that much about the power difference. With that being said the expose ability combine with the break pallet ability make u automatically die at most loops. Most people don't even use the expose ability in my games tho for some reason

Uhh, killers have expose...

i didn't know there was an expose ability until like 2 games ago, but they said you have to hit bloodlust 2 in order to get it
0 -
Nah its bloodlust 1

ew, gross. who decided these things XD

The Event abilities are actually really cool and I think theyre pretty even all things considered. The concept of Fragile pallets are actually REALLY interesting and considering they talked about making events mini tests for new features, I REALLY hope this is something thats expanded on.
What I hope stays to this event tho is the Expose after getting Bloodlust, not a big fan of that one

One is somewhat BS the other enforces slugging. Guess which one the sabo is. For the exposed effect to happen, the killer first has to bloodlust so you buy quite a bit of time anyway. It's stupid and only somewhat fine because it's a limited time random interaction but you can hardly compare that to something that completely denies one side of their objective.
I reckon it's about as strong as blocking a strong window. You sometimes get screwed but it mostly doesn't change the way you play. Sabotaging hooks goes a lot further.

You can bring No Mither. People figured out Power Struggle with the pallets goes pretty well.

But then you realize most good killers never cared about pallet to begin with.

I just got in a match with a Wraith who used the expose power in chase and I have to say that was the most BS thing I've ever encountered.

It’s not free. You have to chase & refrain from hitting a survivor for 15 seconds (bloodlust). Lol.
0 -
Yes but it’s still very powerful and unhealthy imo. It discourages altruistic bodyblocking and can be used right behind a survivor with no warning. It’s not like Bloodlust 1 is uncommon.

use party pallets at the front desk loop on rpd it’s funny having double pallets there

The fragile pallets should use the same destroy animation like the killer power on pallets. so after you drop them and not stun the killer they will stay for another two seconds. the exposed power is a little bit overpowerd but i havent seen it much in use but overall it has no event counter power.

Yeah, I haven't said much on this topic but I agree survivors got jibbed on this one. If I miss the pallet stun then the killer gets the down because we are still in the drop animation, so I've kind of not been bothering with that one. They could have at least waited until the animation was done, just thrown us a second or something. It's not like we have unlimited party pallets at our disposal to run a killer for 5 gens, but they still chose to make it so we get stun or nothing. And all that's even if the pallet even materialises because it's hard during chase (at least for me on console, R3 isn't something I need to use often so the muscle memory isn't there).

you just stand-still to counter BL expose perk. the killer gains no bloodlust if your in deadzone. the pallet break is a lot stronger. No clue who decided to give Pig a chainsaw for the event.
0 -
Oh I'm aware theres plenty of ways to counter it, still not a fan of it.
0 -
yeah that suck just glad the killers aren't using it that much. The counter play also pretty bad! You been in chase for 14 seconds? better stop running because u will get instant down soon. Not only do u have to give up a free hit just because they MAY CHOOSE to use their ability but the counterplay don't even work against half of the killers.
stand still vs Myers he stalk you
ghost face stalk you
bubba will chain saw
huntress get close m2 u and right back on top of the survivor immediately
hillbilly have a instant down as well so u can't stop moving
skull merchant throw up a drone up and let u pick which way u wanna get expose
u stop running cause u don't wanna get expose so the knight get close and drop guard instead of hitting you :)
