Suggested Change on How To balance Tapes for Upcoming Patch

The Onryo is receiving some changes for the next patch and this is amazing for Onyro.

There's an issue with tapes protecting survivors from being condemned from teleports.

  • If all survivors pick up a tape it effectively makes the Onyro weaker
  1. If all survivors grab a tape it effectively stops condemnation from affecting all survivors, and even if Onryo hooks one of them to spread condemnation all the survivors can put their tapes away to remove the stack they gained from the hooked survivor who was carrying a tape, then they can grab a new tape.
  2. Grabbing tapes not only stops you from being condemned from teleports but it also removes her power to teleport for a longer period, meaning even less condemn can be spread when using teleports.
  • Now if condemnation affects survivors who are carrying a tape it may be too powerful to counter condemn so in an attempt to make condemning survivors who are holding tapes more balanced here is my Idea.

  • For each Survivor that is holding a tape the stronger the condemnation gets against the survivors for holding on to tapes and not removing them.

If 1 Survivor is holding a tape while the Onryo is teleporting the survivor that's holding the tape will only gain 1/4 of a stack of condemnation for holding that tape.

If 2 Survivors are holding a tape while the Onryo is teleporting both survivors that are holding tapes will gain 1/2 of a stack of condemnation for holding tapes.

If 3 Survivors are holding a tape while the Onryo is teleporting those 3 survivors will gain 3/4 of a stack of condemnation for holding a tape.

If all 4 survivors are holding a tape while the Onryo is teleporting all survivors gain 1 stack of condemnation for holding tapes.

This will make it safe to hold a tape as an individual but dangerous for the whole team trying to remove the condemnation.

So let's say all survivors decide to wait to remove the tapes until they are close to being fully condemned and they all grab tapes trying to remove condemnation then they will be punished for it. If they all grab tapes at the start of the match to reduce the amount of condemnation they receive from teleports they will be punished. This can also reward survivors for working together if only two survivors grab a tape instead of everyone getting 3/4 condemn stack 2 survivors will only get 1/2 condemn stacks and the other two will get the regular 3/4 stacks.

This will make tapes feel safe but also dangerous and will require survivors to work together in order to stop the whole team from reaching maximum condemnation.
