Outdated mechanics

DBD is celebrating its 7th birthday, so it's natural that the game evolved quite a bit since it came out, but sadly, things from early on and even halfway through the games lifespan so far, have not been updated along with it.

There are a lot of things that could be listed here, so I just want to get the ball rolling the things I can think of from the top of my head:

Keys: Ever since the hatch rework, keys have become pretty much obsolete and I see them maybe once every 50 games, with the skeleton key being the only relevant one anyway. The green and purple key should simply not exist in their current state and keys as a whole should be reworked, especially the addons, as currently the only one that is relevant is blood amber + duration.

Maps: I don't have the biggest issue with maps in general, but the green one just seems pointless. Other items like medkits, flashlights and toolboxes, there is a difference between rarities, but with maps? the difference is so big. Also... please make it so trapper traps are not highlighted anymore? You remove lightburn from top tier killers cause you don't want items countering certains killers unfairly, but leave traps to be tracked with maps?

Luck: I think everyone can agree, that the luck system in general needs an overhaul. The offering are just clogging up the bloodweb and the only times they are used is in a 4 luck offerings, slippery meat, up the ante SWF builds. And while yeah, it is fun to do silly stuff like that in a SWF, the offerings shouldn't clock up the bloodweb for everyone else.

Shrine of Secrets: How this has essentially been unchanged since it came out boggles my mind. It was an okay system back when there were what, 50 perks? But now with closing in to 250 perks, it's just ridiculous. Just replace it with an actual perk store. The shrine is such a horrid design and sucks for new players especially.

Continuing with the offerings, I also think fog bottles and brown BP offerings just are fillers in the bloodwebs.

Not quite sure if this falls into the same "outdated" mechanics thing, but I absolutely don't think that killers should be able to check the steam profiles of survivors before the lobby starts, or to be honest, even see the name of the survivors. Seeing the characters and items is all fair and good, but to have info like the name, profile, prestige, etc. is just weird and shouldn't be a thing.

And lastly... chat filter. This isn't exactly an outdated mechanic, as it has always been horrid, but please... this is an M rated game. It's good to censor actual slurs, but we are at a point where regular words, character names and perks are getting censored. And the worst is that its not even consistent. Sometimes you can type certain words, other times you can't. If this is an attempt to have a system censor words by reading the intent behind the messsage, then it's clearly not working...

Okayyy, rant over.

Anything you guys feel like should be added to the list? Or maybe something I listed that you personally think is actually good as is and shouldn't be touched?
