What is the point of run button on controller? (surv)
Because you still need to push analog all the way to run and if you don't you walk just like when you don't hold it.

To not create scratch marks and louder footsteps? What exactly is the issue here?
If you find that it's difficult you can just change the run input button to X instead like I did

You can also change it to toggle. So push once for running and push again for walking. Then you don't have to hold the button if it bothers you.

You can also walk while holding run. Read again.
Thanks I will at least try that if it doesn't change everything else to toggle as well.

After looking in options there is no such option it seems, not sure why you thought there was. There is just one for interactions.
I also saw people asking for this for years. Shame it is not implemented still.
