Licensed Chapter Concept: Berserk
Hi, out of all the manga/anime licenses that could fit Dead By Daylight like a glove and make for an amazing chapter would be Berserk. I went on to design Zodd as a Killer who would feel like he is an unstoppable killing machine, but reward the survivors who would challenge him. As for the Survivor, I designed Guts to have the archetype of a survivor who would never, ever give up on fighting to survive the trials of the Entity, no matters who ends up chasing him.
In the actual Chapter, I would like to also see either Griffith and/or Casca as survivors, too. (But it is also possible to turn Griffith into a killer where his archetype would be to pressure the survivors into activating a Behelit that they can find on the map to grant them a game-changing wish. But when a Survivor finds a Behelit, the survivors are sent to the "Astral World" where they would be at the mercy of a much more powerful version of Griffith, his true form: Femto, the Wings of Darkness.)
This suggestion includes a lore suggestion for the Killer, alongside his power, perks and lore lines, and a description of how his Mori animation could play out.
As for the Survivor, this suggestion includes a lore suggestion of the Survivor, alongside his perks and lore lines.
I've also included a vague, yet expansive description of the map of this chapter.
----------
"War is ever shifting. As the Band of the Hawk reaps through the enemy lines of Tudor during the Hundred Year War, so is the flow of Causality. While some fight to accomplish their ambitious dream, or to be their friend's equal. Others are seeking ever stronger foes to face, and tear apart."
Welcome to the newest chapter of Dead By Daylight:
Berserk
----------
Map : The Torn Battlefield
As it seeped through the minds of its new playthings, not even the Entity could predict all of the pain and suffering its new playthings would bring onto his realm, the Entity erected a twisted reflection of their memory into a new Trial Ground where the crushed hopes of the many congregates beneath the banners of a few, whose dreams and ambition outweight them all.
(This Trial Ground would be an almagation of few iconic places of the Golden Age Arc, notably the underground where Guts meets and battles Zodd for the first time, the capital of Midland, and the battleground of the Battle for Doldrey.)
----------
New Killer: The Apostle (Zodd the Immortal/Nosferatu Zodd)
Lore:
"Not much is known about Zodd, legends about him says that he has killed over a thousand people on his own, and yet his legend has been told for over two hundred years... Rare are those who would vainly try to explain how this being performed such a feat. And rarer are those who actually survived an encounter with him to tell his tale. Little did they know that their legends are nowhere near the truth. Zodd is no mortal man. He is an Apostle. A being who performed a great sacrifice to the God Hand to be able to chase his dream of finding and to fight the ultimate warrior. The number of people Zodd has slain is beyond measure, his strength is beyond that of any mortal man, and has lived for over three hundred years to find and face this warrior. The one being who would be able to fight him on equal ground.
When the fog gathered around Zodd as he slaughtered yet another batallion on his own, The Entity whispered to him that should he play its game, the Entity will guide Zodd towards the one opponent he lived for over three hundred years to face. Bored of aimlessly wandering to find some warriors to kill, Zodd agreed the offer of the Entity under the condition that Zodd remains loyal to himself and that he will leave its game the day this warrior emerges to face him on equal ground, the Entity agreed and took him to its realm. Until the Entity is satiated of its blood thirst and until the day that warrior arise, Zodd will keep on paving the Trial Grounds with the corpses of those unfortunate enough to face him."

The Apostle's Power is: Beast Swordsman
The Apostle is a force to be reckoned with, thirsting to face foes who can stand against him. When chasing a Survivor, the Apostle gets angry to face such cowardous foes, passively gaining resources for his Apostle Form at a slow rate. If a Survivor drops a palette on him, blinds the Apostle, use a distraction or jumps over a obstacle, the Apostle will gain a fraction of resources for his Apostle Form. The Apostle can consume a fourth of his resource meter to wind up a powerful strike of his crude sword. After a short wind up, the Apostle then rushes forward, striking down the first Survivor hit, which directly puts them to the Dying State.
At the beginning of the Trial, the survivors can see the aura of four swords, planted on the ground, so long as the generators aren't done, the survivors can pick up one of the four swords, when picked up, the Survivor will have the opportuny to strike the Apostle, doing so will stun the Apostle for a set duration, shattering the blade, and immediately filling half of the Apostle's resource meter.
Special Ability: True Apostle Form - When enough resources has been gathered, the Apostle can reveal his true form. Becoming immune to all stun and blinding effects. the Apostle can charge in a set direction, pushing aside any survivor foolish enough to stand against him, and wounding them if the pushed survivor collides with the environnement. His powerful strike are able to hit any survivor who faces him, his attack knocks the struck survivors back, injuring them and causing Deep Wound if they collide with the environnement. This special ability lasts until the resource is fully depleted, or if a survivor enters the Dying State by any mean.
Special Interaction: Foretold Doom - If a Survivor prevents the Apostle from hooking a downed Survivor by suffering any effect that causes him to drop the downed survivor, or by sabotaging a nearby hook. That Survivor will know the full wrath of the Apostle for daring to interrupt their duel, causing that survivor to suffer from the Exposed Status Effect for a short duration. This effect enters into a lengthy cooldown after either managing to strike down the marked Survivor, or if the effect expires.
The Apostle comes with three new perks:
Turn the hopes of your victims to escape you into their downfall with: "Do Not Disappoint Me".
While in a chase, everytime a survivor vaults over a palette or an obstacle, you gain a stack of "Do Not Disappoint Me". This perk activates when you have ten stacks of "Do Not Dissapoint Me".
When this perk is activated, the next time the survivor you are chasing attemps to drop a palette or to vault over one, or to vault over a obstacle. The Entity will prevent the survivor from performing this action, and will prevent this survivor from dropping or vaulting over all nearby palettes or to vault over all nearby obstacle depending on what action that survivor tried to perform for a short duration.
This perk then goes into a lengthy cooldown.
"Fight me until I tear you to shreds! Do not disappoint me!" - Zodd
They will do whatever they can to survive. Strike deep into their flesh with: "Hex: Fight Me to the Death"
Once you have hooked a survivor, if there is still a Dull Totem remaining on the Map, "Hex: Fight Me to the Death" activates and lights it, cursing that Survivor:
- If that survivor is being healed, you will be able to see their aura, and that of the first team mate who is healing them. Should they interrupt the healing process, the cursed survivor, and the first team mate who was healing them will suffer the Deep Wound effect.
"I'm impressed you've managed to stand up to my sword for so long, boy." - Zodd
Some survivor will be more heroic than the rest. Reward their courage with a swift but painful death with: "A Worthy Opponent".
This perk activates when you have 100 stacks of "A Worthy Opponent". For everytime a survivor uses a palette, vaults over an obstacle near you, or tries to blind you, you gain a stack of "A Worthy Opponent". You additionally get a stack every 10 seconds during a chase.
When activated, you can mark a survivor who has been hooked at least once to death by injuring them. If you manage to put them in the Dying State in the next 20 seconds. You will be able to immediately kill them.
This perk is disabled for the rest of the Trial after being used.
"You're the first human to ever drive a blade so deep into my flesh. What a joy... Perhaps I've lived these three hundred long years so that I could face an opponent like you!" - Zodd
Mori : The Apostle turns into his True Apostle Form and is covered by a large smoke effect, one of his gigantic hand emerges from the fog as he grabs the downed survivor and brutally slams them onto the ground. The Mori'd Survivor is barely conscious as Zodd grabs the other half of their body and rips the survivor apart, killing them instantly. Zodd drops the two halves of the survivor before letting out a mighty scream and turning back into his Regular Apostle Form.

New Survivor: Guts
Lore:
"Born beneath the corpse of his hanged mother and taken in by a band of mercenaries. Guts would soon come to learn that to live in his cruel world, he would need his sword ever by his side.
After departing from one battlefield to the next one, Guts met a new band of mercenaries who at first glance came to steal his few posessions and kill him, but he didn't imagine that he caught up the interests of the charismatic leader of the Band of the Hawk, Griffith. After substaining a deep wound from him, Guts would wake up inside their encampement, where Griffith would offer him to join the Band of the Hawk, Guts refused but offers him a duel instead: Should Guts win, he would inflict the same wound upon Griffith. And if Griffith win, Guts would be his to use as he pleased. Griffith accepted the duel and fought Guts. After a long fight, Griffith found himself on top of Guts, and dislocated his arm, signaling Guts' defeat. After losing his freedom to this duel with Griffith, Guts was now forced to join the Band of the Hawk, he now belonged to Griffith. Three years later, he would be promoted to the rank of Captain of the Raiders, where he and his men would be taking on the hardest missions that Griffith had in store.
Before going to battle yet again, Guts reflected atop a small and quiet place nearby the encampent, his sword by his side. It was at that moment that a thick, black fog surrounded Guts. As he was being swallowed by the fog, Casca, followed by his faithful raiders, rushed towards the fog to try and pull Guts out of it, but the fog had engulfed him whole. And as the fog dissipated, Guts was nowhere to be seen, he had vanished before their eyes.
When Guts regained consciousness, his sword and all of his weapons were nowhere to be seen. For the first time in his life, Guts felt a shred of dread, of hopelessness. He could feel a dark presence feasting upon his fears... but instead of letting himself to be consumed by this felling, he was filled with a whole other feeling, a feeling of determination.
"I do not know where I am. I do not know who, or what brought me into this place. But I know that you are here, somewhere, whoever you are. So listen here! This is just another battlefield to me. Do whatever you want. Bring whoever you want to stop me. I will get out of here! And if I ever get my hands on you, I will kill you, and bring this whole place of yours down! Consider this a vow of retaliation!"
After he finished his sentence, Guts found himself surrounded by that same fog, but when it dissipated again, Guts found himself nearby a campfire, and nearby other survivors...
Deprived of his faithful sword, Guts will need to show the other survivors how to face the horrors of this realm and keep on fighting for survival, no matter how hopeless this losing battle may seem to be."
Guts comes with three new perks:
Your reputation precedes you. Show them your worth with: "Hundred Man Slayer".
For every time you are near the Killer, and either drop a palette on them or blind them, you gain half a stack of "Hundred Man Slayer". You directly gain a stack whenever you are chased by the Killer.
For every stack of "Hundred Man Slayer" you have, your movement speed is increased by a certain percentage, and this percentage is doubled when you are in a chase. Whenever you are wounded, suffer from the Deep Wound effect or get put into the Dying State. You lose a stack of "Hundred Man Slayer".
This perk can be stacked up to 5 times.
"I value my comrades, with whom I've repeatedly defied death. But that is not the same as friendship. He would never cling to someone else's dream. He would determine his own reason to live, and if anyone thread upon his dream, he would oppose them with all his being... Even if I were that opponent. That is what I think a friend is. An equal." - Griffith
It is not in your nature to run away. Never stop fighting for you survival with: "Struggler".
Whenever you unhook a survivor, You gain a stack of "Struggler". This perk activates when you have four stacks of "Struggler".
When you are on a hook, you can unhook yourself by performing a Skill Check. If you succeed this Skill Check, you benefit from a temporary movement speed boost, your Scratch Marks and blood trail are hidden from the Killer for a short duration.
This perk is deactivated for the rest of the Trial after unhooking yourself with "Struggler".
"Heed my words, Struggler. At some point, over you shall rage a torrent of madness, a tempest of death for which no mortal man can atone. But listen well, Struggler... Struggle. Defy. Strive. For that is the sole sword of he who confronts death." - Skull Knight
You have suffered from enemies that you thought to be out of this world, so what does one more wound change... Keep going down your dark path with "Vow of Retaliation"
When you are chased by the Killer, you are charging "Vow of Retaliation".
Whenever the perk is fully charged, you can charge ahead of you. If you collide with the Killer. You will stun them for a short duration.
Activating this perk will make you suffer from the Exhausted Status Effect for a lengthy duration.
"Give those pale bastards this message! Tell them that leaving me half-eaten will be the death of you! I'll hunt down and kill you lot and every last one of those rotten monsters... This is my declaration of war!" - Guts
