What is up with Wesker?
It feels like every other game at least the killer is Wesker. It should honestly be called "dead by Wesker" at this point. What is it that makes Wesker so appealing to a large portion of killer players?

I’m of a very very meh opinion when it comes to Wesker. When played well it seems like he’s everywhere at once and there’s no real point trying against him which is frustrating, especially on smaller maps. The thing that makes him ‘meh’ to me is the look. I get he’s infected with any number of Umbrella enhancements but outwardly he just looks like some guy fresh from a shopping trip to Hot Topic.. At least legion looks blood soaked and scruffy.

hes super fun and rewarding to play. Hes also super well rounded. mobility, chase, slowdown, and many different strategies to play for each. Not to mention how satisfying his sound design is. There are few killers with that much variety to them. You can play hit and run wesker to whittle down the sprays and have great slowdown, chase wesker for insanely fast downs with perfect execution, and have great map mobility to complement each. You can use his power for pretty much any strategy you want, leading to nearly every killer player having a way to enjoy him. twins mains love playing hit and run with sloppy for victor snowballing, you can hit and run infection for massive slowdown and chase power in the late game. Chase killer enjoyers will find a killer that needs perfect execution (unlike a blight or nurse for example who can lunge to correct imperfection), but landing it provides so much more value since than other chase powers. And of course huntress mains get to enjoy that delicious blood splatter noise on throw hits with jewel beetle. Theres really no limit to his variety so theres no limit to who can enjoy him.

He’s easy to use. Has great mobility. And his infections make it easy to tunnel if the killer so chooses.

It’s a problem of only adding one fun killer every year and a half

He has no weakness, his hotbox is buffed to be extremely huge, and you can easily tunnel out of anyone

His hitbox technically got severally nerfed since ptb because it was causing him to collide with everything? I wouldn't spout things I don't know about but hey, that's just me.
He is the first killer in a long time to be a decently mobile, very high skill ceiling, fun and interesting killer to play as. If you ask me and probably about 30% of all killer players, he's the only good design since blight which is over 2 years now.
I can't tell people to enjoy playing against the same thing constantly as I quit dbd for a bit even with a high wr back in april 2022 because every survivor was running the exact same build. But people don't realize survivor loadouts are equivalent to killers in general.

He is fun to play, strong and not as difficult to use as other Killers which have a higher power level. E.g. Blight is also really fun and even stronger, but harder to use. Nurse is easier to use (once you get used to her) and also stronger, but not that much fun since she becomes kinda dull after a while.
And other Killers which are as simple as Wesker or even more simple might be fun, but are not that strong.
Basically he hits some checkboxes in the right places to make him that popular.

He is strong and easy to play at the same time.
