Anyone else feel medkit rarities aren't impactful at all in their current state?

While I understand the reason for the nerfs and desire to make general self healing slower it currently feels a brown medkit for 2k bloodpoints is much better value then a ranger one for over double the price

I know there's an altruistic healing speed difference but not only is it minor but spending a limited resource on a teammate often feels like a waste outside of a proxy camp scenario and then perks mitigate that much better

Overall I don't think it'd be broken having higher quality ones with like 8 charges extra built in or a +15% healing speed bonus. Item quality should be more impactful

Here I look at the Ranger Medkit and think I can get the same for free from Botany.

I always end up using medkits on myself in solo queue so the rarity doesn't matter at all somehow. 💀

Its hard to get out of the habit of beelining for the purple medkit in the bloodweb when there is a much better value brown one somewhere else.

The devs REALLY need to start removing a lot of survivors items/offering/addon that are useless and only serve to fill the bloodweb.

We dont need 4 different medkits if all of them are the same with a 5% increase in altruistic , just leave the ranger one or the green one and remove the rest.

In the same way, we dont need 6 different luck offerings, the green map with all its addon to find an specific thing, the broken key, the purple shroud. So many things that could be removed today and nobody would miss.

If you actually use medkits to heal other survivors, they are.

I run a healing build based around Renewal with We'll Make It, and use a 32 charge medkit to heal unhooked survivors rapidly to charge up my Renewal, so the increased healing speed from the higher tier medkits makes a significant difference.

Instead of self-caring in the corner for 24 seconds with my brown medkit, I fully heal a survivor with a purple medkit in 6 seconds, banking a full heal for myself in the process. And yes, I play solo survivor.

You can do a similar with with Solidarity too.

Ya medkits are so bland now I guess the devs didn’t put much thought into changing medkits just worried about nerfing them

Yep, got lucky with a purple medkit earlier and used it on myself. Pretty sure it would have been the exact same thing if I had gotten a brown one. Same thing for add-ons, they're just boring as heck.

Honestly scared of the reddit Q&A where they said they wanted / were thinking about implementing other items. The current state of survivor items & add-ons is atrocious and there doesn't seem to be any plan for an overhaul, so I just hope they don't add anything to this mess.
