Onryo's upcoming counter play is to strong and needs a change

I love the good parts of the upcoming Onryo changes. Global condemnation and spreading condemnation to other survivors by hooking is really healthy for the game.

There's an issue with how strong these tapes are.

  • The issue

Tapes now completely stop you from being able to condemn survivors by using your teleports this could be fine by itself but when everything gets added together the Onyro feels like you can't do anything.

  • Let's get into why that is (read them in order to get a full understanding of what I'm trying to convey here.)
  1. If everyone grabs a tape all of your condemnation comes to a complete halt, yes you can hook a survivor with a tape to get the others to condemn but they can easily remove the condemnation by returning the tape to a TV, or you can slug and down the same survivor over and over due to the fact that you condemn survivors for holding tapes when you make them take a health state. it seems part of this change is to make her more healthy and encourage hooking so survivors don't have to sit on the ground for four minutes but it clearly hasn't fixed that aspect either.
  2. When picking up a tape in the PTB survivors were not given a stack which means there's no punishment for grabbing a tape. in fact, it only benefits you for the reason before that you can't be condemned for holding a tape while teleporting. Not only does it stop you from gaining condemn stacks it turns off TVS longer than it would if the Onyro teleported which sounds fine on paper. Until you realize you can put the tape into ANY TV on the map meaning you can quickly and effectively not only stop condemnation but also her map pressure leaving her with no power.
  3. Maybe you could argue that her add-ons change this. Saying that the new Iri tape will stop her power from being removed instantly because the new Iri tapes make you put it in a specific TV will slow it down. Well, this brings up what happened with the last Onyro we had. It felt like if you wanted to be consistent with her power you needed Iri tape to turn back the TVS on in order to spread condemn meaning she was add-on reliant. Was it not part of this patch to fix the fact that the low-tier add on's and higher-tier add-ons to meet in the middle? Oh wait it was, why should we have to rely on add-ons when you said you were gonna fix the add-ons? You changed around 5 of her add ons and not only that but you nerfed add-ons that take skill Reiko's watch isn't an issue it takes skill to know how to mind game while demanifested. If you say that a powerful mind game add-on is an issue or it was overused then take ten minutes to look at Blight's add-ons and tell me that Reiko's watch needs a change.
  • Now let's get into what we need / suggestions to fix this issue
  1. Fix her add-ons and do what you said you were gonna do.
  2. Nerf the counter play so people who actually play Sadako skillfully can still condemn top-tier survivors
  3. Remove her lullaby, if you're not in chase while demanifested to improve her stealth then why to keep the lullaby if we want her to be stealthy?
  4. Make it so her power doesn't get limited so much part of Sadako's power is to teleport to have map pressure, this means you should be able to tp at any time but still have the 15 seconds to spread condemn. But also means not being able to turn off every TV she has on the map.

I want to end this with a positive note as much as I can and I'm sorry if this sounded harsh. I love Global condemn it is amazing. I like trying to encourage people to hook survivors and not slug over and over. I just think the counterplay is way too strong and just needs a few minor tweaks to be near perfect. Thank you bhvr for looking at Sadako in the first place and attempting to do something for her.
