Survivor is miserable right now

Ever since the event ended, my survivor games have been absolutely miserable, like quit playing the game miserable. I’m not even joking when I say that 95% of my matches since the event ended have either had; face camping at 5 gens, tunneling the first person hooked, Skull merchants holding the tightest three gens at the start of the match, or hardcore slugging without hooking anyone. I genuinely don’t know what’s going on. These are some of the least enjoyable games I’ve ever played since I started playing over 4 years ago.

It seems like no ones playing for fun anymore.. when did this game get so serious?

Well you got 3gen and anti face-camping mechanics coming to your rescue plus the removal of hookgrabs soon. AND a handful of new Perks to rejuvenate your meta from Nicolas Cage next week.

Your complaints are like the lack of birthday cake in your mouth while its being carried from the Kitchen to your table. Sure, its not touching your taste buds right now, but with what's coming you got so much coming AND hope.

Call me pessimistic but I don’t think any of these changes will change much about these fundamental problems. If people still want to play like this it won’t stop them. They’ll still camp, just from 16 meters out, then they’ll just tunnel. It’s just face camping with extra steps. Hook grabs aren’t that big of problem since survivors usually win them 90% of the time. As for 3 genning, I think the only fix to this is to improve gen spawns which I think would be a rather massive undertaking, which leads me to think their solution might not be the best.

On the plus side, I sometimes come across killers that seem to be trying to out-range Kindred when I run it but only get the range they think they’re getting about 50% of the time. If that’s any indication then 50% of the time the anti-camp might work. Either that or train them to be better at getting the distance right. Nevermind, I talked myself out of the plus side.

If you really encounter face campers that much, just bring reassurance and if need be trade their place. If your team at least does gens then the killer should lose just from this alone.

Desperation tactics right off the bat is what you get when gens can be completed at cartoonish speeds.

More miserable than the event with bloodlust exposed & remote pallet break?
