RIP Onyro and being able to express your skill and mastery.

The new way tapes work for Onyro does not allow you to express your skill against survivors who understand how the tapes work.

Tapes are too strong and don't let you express your mastery against the best of the best or a group of people who understand that tapes only protect you and do not harm you. Tapes are no longer a threat in any way.

  1. Tapes stop condemnation from spreading on to you when the Onyro teleports effectively making condemnation come to a stop.
  2. Picking up tapes in the PTB did not give you a stack like it use to. Not only does grabbing a tape protect you it turns off TVs for longer durations than it would if the Onyro teleported through it.
  3. You can put Tapes in ANY TVs meaning you can turn off multiple TVs removing her map pressure.

All of this adds up to where if all survivors grab a tape she can't condemn anyone because, by the time you get to seven stacks, you will have already been hooked 3 times. Not to mention how easy it is for you to remove it because you can use ANY TV to remove condemnation. This means against a team who understands how to just simply hold on to tapes the whole time they will effectively remove the ability to show the skill and mastery you have put into this killer. (as if you needed skill for Onyro now that it is global condemn)

  • Add-ons

We were told that her highest and lowest-performing Add-ons would become closer in line with the rest of the options.

This did not happen if anything it make me feel like I am required to run the new Iri tape to even have a chance to show off my ability to condemn survivors. Not to mention that the gap in strength is still there and in fact, some of her add-ons that were okay that took skill were nerfed for no reason at all. To call this a balance pass is ridiculous.

  • Remove her lullaby

I think that any and all killers should be able to perform their best against any level of survivors. A counter to a killer should not be able to completely stop her from doing the thing she was meant to do. which is spread condemn and have a different path to winning the game.

Overall these changes make the Onyro only feel watered down in the skill department and make this killer feel weak against any and all survivors who know this counter is way too strong and completely ruins her goal. This turns her into an m1 killer who can only teleport which barely catches experienced people off guard because of sound queues.

I have lost faith in Sadako's design if no changes are made

You could argue that you could spread condemnation by slugging tape holder over and over now that taking the health states of tape holders give them a stack. This then makes me want to ask you, what was the point of all these changes if I can do the same thing with the current Onyro with wring drawing? This only limits her to slugging which I thought that wasn't fun for survivors so I don't know pick your poison.

they made her into ptb singularity, except a million times weaker.

it is also not practical to slug because it takes at least 7 downs to curse condemn someone that hog tape. both hooking and slugging are equally irrelevant now because you'll die to hooking or regular slugging before condemn curse does anything. so the condemn mechanic is pointless disregarding TV teleport nerfs on cooldown tv+individual cooldown, iri tape nerfs and chase nerfs.

She will have no power against survivors who know to grab four tapes which means little to no skill expression. welcome to the new worst killer who can have the power practically stripped away from them.
