Killer Concept: The Scarecrow

Backstory: THE SCARECROW, or Arthur Zielinski, was a gardener who grew up learning how to grow crops from his father, and grow flowers from his mother. But, bullies would often tie him up on posts and stuff hay in his clothes yelling "Scaredy Cat Scarecrow" at him. He studied Horticulture, but he wanted to leave college with a degree in Psychology. But years of torment and his parents constants arguments eventually drove him mad, leading him to murder his parents and his bullies, using a scythe as his weapon, but would use a sickle as well. He studied the fears of victims he would kidnap and mentally torture. He eventually created a device that would slowly cause anxiety, dread, and paranoia into the minds of the victims. While working one night on his device, he noticed a strange, almost living black fog, and almost instantly was consumed, and he could sense fear within this strange place, and his only goal was to make it worse.

Power: Frightening Experiments

At the start of the trial, survivors have a Fear Tracker attached to them, and you gain 4 tokens. Fear Trackers will gain progress the longer survivors are in your Terror Radius but not in a chase. When it reaches full progress, the survivor will scream and reveal their location and suffer from the Paranoid status effect for 45 seconds, then the meter restarts progress.

Special Status Effect: Paranoid

The Paranoid status effect causes survivors to constantly hear a faint terror radius, as if the killer were nearby.

Special Item: Disarming Kit

4 disarming kits will spawn in the trial, allowing survivors to remove Fear Trackers.

Special Attack: Scythe Swing

Hold the Active Ability Button to charge Scythe Swing, then press the Attack Button to use Scythe Swing, spinning for 4 seconds, hitting and survivor within 6 meters of you for one health state.

Special Interaction: Place Tracker

While a survivor is in the dying state, press the Active Ability Button 2 to place a Fear Tracker and consume a token.

Perks:

OUT FROM THE SHADOWS

After searching an empty locker, OUT FROM THE SHADOWS activates: You gain Undetectable until a survivor loses a health state, this perk then goes into cool down for 50/45/40 seconds.

GRIM APPROACH

After damaging a generator, GRIM APPROACH activates: the next survivor to enter your terror radius or any one survivor in your terror radius, will scream and reveal their location for 4 seconds. This perk has a cool down of 30/25/20 seconds.

SHARED PAIN

When the obsession is injured SHARED PAIN activates: injuring another survivor will cause the obsession and that survivor to both be inflicted with Broken for 40/50/60 seconds. Cooldown: 120 seconds

COMMON

Broken Sickle:

● Survivors no longer scream when Fear Trackers reach full progress. Gain 100% more Bloodpoints in the deviousness category when they reach full progress.

Pointed Hat:

● Fear Tracker gain progress 4% faster.

Tattered Footwraps:

● When a Fear Tracker gains full progress, you gain 6% haste for 10 seconds

Dead Branches:

● Window vaults are blocked for any survivor with a Fear Tracker for 10 seconds

UNCOMMON

GARDENING HOE:

● When a Fear Tracker is placed on a survivor, any survivor in your terror radius screams and reveal their location for 3 seconds.

FATHER'S SKULL:

● When a Fear Tracker reaches full progress you gain 8% Haste for 10 seconds.

MOTHER'S FAVORITE DRESS:

● Increases the range of Scythe Swings by 1 meter

BLOODY T-SHIRT:

● Survivors hit by a Scythe Swing have their auras revealed for 5 seconds

HORTICULTURE STUDY GUIDE:

● Increases the time required to remove Fear Trackers by 14%

RARE

BLOOD SPLATTERED CLOAK:

● Scythe Swings inflict mangled

SHATTERED BLADE:

● Scythe Swings inflict Hemorrhage

WILTED ROSE:

● When a Fear Tracker reaches full progress, gain 10% Haste for 10 seconds

SMALL SUPPLY CRATE:

● Survivors no longer see the auras of Disarming Kits

● You lose 2 tokens

FEAR BOMB:

● When the last generator is repaired, any survivor with a Fear Tracker attached to them will scream and reveal their location for 3 seconds

● The Fear Tracker is automatically destroyed

VERY RARE

DAMAGED KIT:

● If a survivor drops a Disarming Kit, it will slowly gain the effect of taking longer to use the longer its on the ground

PROTOTYPE MASK:

● Increases the duration of the Paranoid status effect by 10 seconds

RIPPED BODY BAG:

● Gain 5% Haste for 15 seconds each time a Fear Tracker is removed

● Removes 1 token

WOODEN POSTS:

● Survivors suffer from 5% Hindered for 10 seconds after being hit by a Scythe Swing.

●Decreases Scythe Swing range by 2 meters

ULTRA RARE

REAPING SCYTHE

● Survivors hit by a Scythe Swing are automatically put into the dying state

● Decreases the time you can use Scythe Swing by 2 seconds

IRIDESCENT SCARECROW

● Two survivors start the trial with full progress on their Fear Tracker

● You start the trial with no tokens

This is just the general design, I just scribbled the colors in.

    Interesting concept, although the killer's power seems quite complex (fitting most of the current killers). What's also quite interesting is that I wanted to make a gardener killer too, although I had a different Idea. I really like Out From The Shadows and Shared Pain.

    He has a bit of tracking, a special attack, and kinda like pig he places them on survivors, the Paranoid state might be a bit too much, seeing as it's kinda similar to madness, but I see how it can seem complex compared to recent killers, but if someone were to play with the power it would seem way simpler 😅 (and thank you, I tried to make a fun killer with interesting perks)
