Does Vigil work on Skull Merchant & Ghost Face exposed status effect or does it only lower the timer if the timer is visible in the UI ( The red circle-timer around the exposed ) ?

Doesn't work. Their exposed is tied to a power timer, not a status effect timer.

only works on perks that apply exposed status effect with a timer. examples are make your choice, hex:haunted grounds, dragon grip, hubris and starstruck. also applies to add-on that inflicted exposed for specific duration. examples are like dredge wooden plank add-on or nemesis iridescent umbrella badge.
