Anyone else excited for today's update?
This is probably my most anticipated update since I've been playing DBD. Didn't play the PTB but Nicolas Cages perks are such a refresher to there being any fun left in the game and being able to play as him is so sick. Been staying up grinding last minute BP for him.
Coming from a Blight main, I'm looking forward to new Cowshed and Rancid Abbatoir but we'll see once the update drops.
In terms of content, pretty excited. Only thing I'm iffy about is Sadako's rework. Hopefully she isn't too underperforming now.

Yes, i am excited for play new Sadako. Now with shorter TV cooldowns, she will feel better. Can't wait to play her.

Fresh new perks for a survivor I want to try, a lot of good balance changes I'm looking forward to, DC Bots and ever so closer to the next patch with the much anticipated "big" license. Pretty hyped for today.

Believe we're getting the new tome tomorrow and a bunch of store cosmetics. Unsure.

- No more hook grabs
- Reworked Rancid Abbatoir & Cowshed
- Spirit add-on nerfs/slight buffs
- Hag add-on buffs for Waterlogged Shoe, Mint Rag, Half Egg Shell & Cracked Turtle Egg
- The distance at which Pyramid Heads cage would relocate if he entered the radius was increased to 10m from 5m
- Updated character portraits
- Prove Thyself nerf
- BNP nerf
- Coup de Grace now gains 2 tokens per 1 gen completed with a total of 5 stacks
- Bunch of other perk changes
- Then there's Sadako's underwhelming rework
- (assuming) a bunch of store content

I am kind of meh. I mean, Nicolas Cage looks great and everything but his perks are... weird? I dont think i'll buy him.
The perk changes are ok-ish but nothing to be hyped about. The only one i am happy to get is the Blast MIne buff but the others are pretty much the same.
Coldwind farm rework probably is just some palet reduction and less loops together so meh.
Sadako changes'll wait to see in game.
Bots are fine and a good QOL change to early dcs.
Hook grabs being gone is really good.
And Prove thyself Bp bonus being removed and Spine Chill being nerfed is terrible.

Nic Cage is cool but not his perks, balance changes are annoying as always, for me worst offender is prove thyself it takes forever to max objective without it, if you delete all BP bonus atleast buff score events a bit ??

Sort of. Hook grabs being gone is amazing. On the other hand skull merchant is still in the game and hasn't been killswitched yet.

I'm really excited to play Dramaturgy in every game. Also very excited to never see hook grabs again. Hated it on both sides.

It doesn't make sense to you because you see DBD as a competitive game. The game is as competitive as you make it, and there are plenty of people out there that are just out to have fun which is what his perks are all about.

Dramaturgy is a contender for best exhaustion perk in the game and Plot Twist has some applications with Lucky Break which is already a good perk.

Taskbar icon still not lighting up when a match is starting, brought back the "screams into killer's ears upon the first frame of getting hooked" annoyance that everybody hated, forced the new portraits down our throats despite the negative feedback + several new bugs of all kinds. Such an exciting update indeed.

There are definitely some interesting aspects and Nick Cage's perks will be nice, new additions for those who want to challenge themselves in the trials, whilst also offering some interesting plays. "Plot Twist" has already proven to have some exceptionally clever uses for creative players. I know some don't like them, but the perks will offer variety and also will be a badge of honour when using them to survive.
Other than Cage, I will miss Onryō's ability to teleport without cooldown. I dunno if she's going to be stronger for the change, but that was a tactic I loved doing. They may have reduced it to 10, so maybe it won't be as bad? We'll see.
