Compensating Legacy Loss
I just received a response from the support that they are still not able to give legacy skins back to people who owned them and lost them because of the gamebreaking bug with save files in 2016/2017.
I think this subject should be revisited. For those unaware, there's a lot of people who lost their legacy skins this way, because save files used to be stored on players' PC which means if you lost your progress due to a bug, it was gone forever, unless you manually made a backup.
I got 50,000,000 Bloodpoints as a compensation (which wasn't really enough for my 1,600h of playtime, but they couldn't give more at the time), but my legacy skins were all gone.
They can't refund legacy skins, because they have no way of knowing what legacy skins each player had and even Steam screenshots or achievements don't count as a confirmation. There were some plans to refund legacy skins confirmed by devs on their stream in 2017 or 2018, but after that the topic never came back. I just wish they could at least let you choose one legacy skin if you earned the steam achievement for getting a specific prestige level before the deadline (which was late November 2016 afaik).
I want to be able to use my legacy Claudette and Wraith, because I worked hard to get them (Bloodwebs were much bigger, Bloodpoint gains were much lower, there was no cakes / bps, etc)

It's really not all that difficult to check when a player got the Prestige 3 achievements. Unfortunately they're probably never going to do this.

The possibility all hinges on it they stored the date, otherwise it's pretty difficult? You have to be specific when programming it's not going to just assume you want to store a date.
Also I'm pretty sure that's the entire issue, because progress was stored locally, no? If that file was corrupted, the record is gone.

Yeah but if you had proof that your Steam Achievement was unlocked on or before the Legacy cut off date they could at least award one, two, or three pieces (depending on achievements) as compensation alongside bloodpoints.

Steam stores the date of when you get an achievement.

There are 3 achievements: P1, P2, P3 - those do not tell you what character was p3 at that point, just that you had at least one full legacy skin.
For the record, I think they should just give legacy to everyone at this point, and I think the fact that legacy recovery isn't a thing suck. But I see why it's not proof enough for them, nor is a screenshot.

Correct, but the point is that they can still tell you had at least one full legacy skin (if you had the P3 achievement). While it wouldn't be a full compensation (that's what the bp are for) it would at least be less of a slap in the face than being told you cannot have your lost skins back outright.

People are going to be talking about the Deep Rift outfits like this one day.
