Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Remember Me Is Close To Greatness

Remember Me is almost perfect, especially with its kind of decent buff recently. But it still needs a little more work because it still suffers from completely not being viable in a certain way and can create a frustrating experience on both Killer and Survivor's gameplay.

For starters, it's good that it is obsession based to build up stacks to spread basic attack love and reduce STBFL stacks but the fact that the obsession is not affected by Remember Me will create a tunneling experience for the obsessed survivor so that the Killer will try and make maximum use out of the perk. Yet at the same if the Killer doesn't tunnel before the exit gates are powered, then the perk becomes useless.

There could be potentially two ways to go about this with extra end game effects.

1) As soon as the exit gates are powered you gain a 8% Haste status effect until all survivors leave the game or die.

This will allow Killers to combat the 10%+ speed boost that survivors have in their current meta but also it'll allow much slower killers that don't have the ability to move quickly across the map, for example: Freddy-once the exit gates are powered this will allow him to catch up to the gates and patrol them slightly easier. Then this would make sense why the obsession would not be affected by Remember Me.

2) Remove: the obsession is not affected by remember me and once the exit gates are opened all survivors across the map will receive a 20% hindered status effect for 40 seconds. And just for giggles against toxic players, if a survivor crouches inside the exit gate chamber then the exit gates will be blocked by The entity for 16 seconds.

This could potentially help reduce player toxicity towards the end game and encourage survivors to just leave right away. There'll be no more time wasted on both ends who just want the match to be over with, who've had an unpleasant experience but as well the hindered status effect could come in for some really clutch plays for Killers or some really intense horror-filled tension of escaping asap for Survivors.

Increased movement speed by 8% is too much

This is frustrating to play against as the killer is rewarded for failing to stop the survivors from repairing the generators

end game movement speed is no one escapes death. I think I would transfer the gameafoot passive that switch obsession to this perk and remove obesssion stimulation of gameafoot. it would make both perks way better.

Remember Me is good enough with the current buff. The obsession not being affected by the penalty balances the fact that they get targeted to gain tokens. Besides, survivors aren’t going to know you have that perk until the exit gates are interacted with. Survivors, especially those in solo queue, aren’t going to come up with a plan to get the obsession on the exit gates. It’ll all be circumstance.

How about 2 or 4 percent?

I get it's rewarding a killer for failing to stop repairs on gens but it would make end game so much more close of a call for both sides imo for a real fright and adrenaline rush.

I still wish there was something else to it. Maybe if the obsession is opening the gate or gets in a 10 meters range, the obsessions aura will be shown for 15 seconds.
