make the first dc penalty 1 min again ?
i don't see why dc penalties would be harsher now that bots have been introduced. i don't dc often but i just can't take a skull merchant game where she already chose her 3 gen to defend at the beginning of the game.

The bots are not an excuse to dc. Their existence does not mean people should disconnect.

you're missing the point. increasing the dc penalty results in more people hookiciding rather than eating a dc and are going to leave their team without a dc bot. sure, you don't WANT people dc'ing, but if someone wants out of a match i'd rather dc'ing be more their thing than hookiciding. upping the dc penalty is a lose lose situation especially considering anyone can find ANYTHING uninteresting in this game, because everyone has different definitions of fun, and would LOVE to stand under a hook if they don't get their hookicide, if anything i'm glad people are saying they'll dc instead of hookicide if the change was reverted.

I'm not missing any point. The DC bots weren't added so people could d/c. They were added so if something happened and there was a d/c. the rest of the survivors don't get completely screwed over.
And frankly if you find yourself d/cing or raging out of games, you should just take a break and stop playing.

once again, nobody's stating the dc bots were added so people could dc. you're once again, seemingly intentionally missing the point just to go on a tangent about other people dc'ing. the point of the bots is to fill in when someone disconnects from the match. i'm not encouraging people to dc, nor is the system encouraging people to dc. it is, quite literally, the less of two evils, and that's all it is, and i would rather the system favour people dc'ing than people hookiciding, as it would lead to a less unenjoyable match. you're allowed to disagree with that, but that doesn't mean you aren't missing the point. you quite definitely are, because you're continuing to talk about points no one has said, nor supported.

> increasing the dc penalty results in more people hookiciding
So remove hookiciding
> and would LOVE to stand under a hook if they don't get their hookicide
That's fine. As long as they can't move onto another match.

First this discussion isn't about hook suicides. Hook suicides frankly shouldn't exist, but this is topic is not a discussion about that.
Second, I'm not missing the point. You keep bringing up a different point.
Third, I'm not engaging any further with someone who doesn't want to engage with the topic of dc penalty and keeps bringing up hook suicides.
Bots do not exist to give people an out to dc. The penalty should not be lowered, because bots exist.

IMO dc penalties should be capped at
3 minutes initial - enough time to make people unable to ruin others lobbies by joining , but not insanely boring to wait either.
10 minutes Max - bots are a thing already , can i dodge a game where the player am going against is just holding the game hostage with their build
Cough cough SM / slug fest sadako etc.0
