The not too shabby Deathslinger update concept
I used to LOVE Deathslinger before they did the massive nerf many updates back, he used to be fast and fun and just a well balanced killer overall but they really butchered his main kit really hard without anything in return to help all these nerfs, and still today some add-ons are literally pointless/useless to use like the aiming movement speed (1% and 2.5% really?????)
So with that in mind, I came up with a possible update to his kit and some of his add-ons to make him more smooth and better to play with, a compromise if you will from what changes they did to him to make him better without taking him back how he used to be. (tho I wish they did)
Base kit:
Movement speed: 4.4M/s
Terror radius: 28 Meters from 32.
Reload speed: 2.5 seconds from 2.75 seconds
Miss cooldown recovery: 2.5 seconds from 2.75 seconds
Camera no longer moves down once a survivor is speared. (idk if it's a bug or intended but....get that ######### away)
Reeling survivor speed is increased by 6%
Aiming down sight speed: 0.30 second from 0.4 second.
These changes makes his base kit WAY better to deal with and feel much smoother, the brown add-ons being base kit gives him a way smoother experience from hitting and missing and feels less punishing and more rewarding depending if you hit or miss, also the faster ADS is simply a wonderful change because so many shots potential are wasted because of the slow ADS and it being slighly faster gives him better quick scope possibilities and makes it harder for survivor to dodge the shots, still really possible from their end.
With brown add-ons being base kit some of them needs to be changed so we do not have a 1.75 second reload and spam shots like crazy, so here are some ideas for add-ons.
Common:
Spit polish rag: increase movement speed while reloading by 15%.
Snake oil: Increase harpoon velocity by 10%.
Modified ammo belt: After missing 3 shots in a row the Redeemer is automatically reloaded. (no reload animation)
Uncommon:
Jaw smasher: Reduce the recovery time when you stop aiming by 20%.
Marshal's badge: Reduce Terror radius when ADS by 10 meters.
Rare:
Wanter poster: Increase harpoon velocity by 20%.
Very rare:
Gold creek whiskey: When a survivor breaks free from the Redeemer you can see their aura for 6 seconds.
Ultra rare:
Hellshire iron: When you put a survivor in the dying state while they were speared reveal the aura of all survivors within your terror radius for 5 seconds, If there is more than 2 auras of standing survivors revealed to you your reload speed 1 second faster for 5 seconds.
