Killers and Surivors are both horrible

Seriously neither side is more or less toxic.

I keep seeing "Omg when I play survivor these awful killers are so toxic"

and "When I play killer these survivors are so toxic"

well yeah because everyones toxic to each other for no reason lol. Ive run a non meta build on a killer I'm not experienced with and gotten curb stomped followed by tea bags, flashlight clicks, and r*pe threats

Ive also run a non meta survivor build and met with similar behavior from killers who realize I'm not playing meta

Whats consistent is I leave both games hating the other side and wanting to play as sweaty as possible next match to make sure it doesn't happen again which is I'm sure same for most players that are toxic n such.

Point is curing toxicity from our community starts with each person killer AND survivor once we start all actually playing more chill then the problem will be gradually better along with meta changes n such I'm sure but bottom line is the only reason we're as toxic as we are as a community is from other people in the community on both sides and the sooner we realize it isn't us vs them and its more "Everyone vs eachother" we can fix the problem

I always have this image in mind.

    You have 2 choices, (1) or (2).

The B person would not appreciate whatever choice you made, the A person would appreciate if you pick (1), and would be sad if you pick (2).

There are so many people (especially killers who just play against a bully squad), prefer the option (2) because they feel good seeing the B person in pain, while ignoring the A person's feeling. Thats the sad part.

I dont blame them though, I used to be like that, but I changed.

I commented this on another post, but it's relevant here too. "Sweaty" playing is, by and large, a cycle:

-Side A (survivor) plays a silly meme build to goof around and, say, loot chests a bunch of times.

-Side A is paired against Side B (killer) who is playing alchemist ring Blight because they just got stomped by a 4-man SWF as a no-regression Trapper.

-Side B tunnels Side A out of the game at 4 gens because they don't want a repeat of what happened last game.

-Side A is irritated that they played all of twenty seconds of that round.

-Side A puts on MFT, Unbreakable, Deliverance and Balanced Landing.

-Side A plays against Side B 2.0 (different killer), a Billy using speed limiter with 4 terrible perks.

-Side A loops Side B 2.0 for 5 gens and t-bags at the exit gate.

-Side B 2.0 plays their next game as Nurse with BBQ, Infectious, Pop, and Pain Res.

    -Repeat.

It's unfortunate that the other side can determine how much fun you have in a game, but that's the way it is. The cycle doesn't seem to be on the verge of breaking anytime soon either.

It's a vicious circle. Every single time I'm having a rough day in SoloQ I switch to killer, only to get the sweatlord 4 men squads. Then I go back to sruvivor and watch the hud be completely devoid of any activity until the Killer has like 2 hooks.

This forum is not representative of the playerbase in general. Most matches I play are great. There's always going to be toxic players but they are not a majority.

In regards to the forum. I understand that players get annoyed by stuff. But the amount of threads where the OP is rude and aggressive to people, whilst whining about how hard they have it, is unreal. People often make no effort to control their emotions and just start insulting other people. Not even aiming the insults at the people who offended them, but everyone on the other side. Then when they get called out they start crying about how mistreated they are. It genuinely annoys the crap out of me.

Killers basically have to tunnel, because survivors now all know that splitting up is the strongest move.

Survivors basically have to split up and do multiple gens, least they get tunneled and face camped at 5 gens.

The meta (shake-up)backed both sides against the wall and forced them to play as efficient as possible.

What the game needs is a reset: killers need to be rewarded for hooks without killing someone; right now you shoot yourself in the foot for ot tunneling andcletting survivors reach the last gen stage with 4 peeps; you can't hold 3 gens vs 4, it's just impossible

Killers need incentives to not kill a survivor asap, but need some kind of reward (debuffs) while everyone is alive.

Survivors need to be discouraged to slam 3 gens at once, making splitting up harder, but they also need some protection and time to do so.

I feel like this would be a good start to help stop the toxic behavior. Although some are beyond helping,

It drove me away from the game, so many miserable people on here that just want to make everyone as miserable as them. On both sides.
