Why we should have more animalistic/quadrupedal killers
With the spectacularly great Xenomorph PTB introducing our first killer that walks around on all fours during gameplay, BHVR has now proven that they can make a quadrupedal killer work, so I've been thinking, why not get a few more animalistic and quadrupedal killers from now on? There's clearly no issues regarding gameplay as Xenomorph has proven
I've come up with a few reasons for why we should get more quadrupedal killers
First of all: Animalistic and quadrupedal killers are, in my opinion, far scarier then bipedal ones
This is largely subjective, but I am of the opinion that quadrupedal characters are far more terrifying then bipedal ones, sure, there is a lot of inherent fear in seeing a large thing walking up to you like a human while not resembling anything of the sort, but there is something fundamental and primal about a large, wild animal stalking and walking up to you as well
For example, this video
Or this one
Or this one
Do you see my point? Imagine getting chased by something so fundamentally different to you that it can only be described as a true monster, something that could swallow you whole or cut you in half with one bite, something you have no hope of fighting or hiding from, a true predator that sees you as its lunch is much scarier and way cooler to me then just a normal person with some disfiguration, I'm far more scared of Xeno and Dredge then I am Skull Merchant or Trapper
Point Number Two: Quadrupedal Killers offer way more creative freedom for both visuals and gameplay
Building off of the first point, Animalistic killers have more unique ways of being designed then Bipedal ones, Bipedal killers have to follow a similar mould, be on two legs, be vaguely humanoid, either have claws or carry a weapon, etc. There is only so many ways you can use this mould before it get's samey
Animals though? You can go practically anywhere with that
Giant Insects?
Easy
Monstrous versions of IRL animals?
Done
Aliens?
Easy enough
Eldritch Abominations?
Shambler and Fiddlesticks, my beloveds
Dinosaurs?
The Indoraptor says hello and is going to give me nightmares for the next week, again (Thanks Fallen Kingdom, you spectacularly messed up film)
Dragons?
Bitch, that word is a third of my name, just try and tell me no
You see my point? Animals have such a wide variety of body shapes and types that you could realistically go anywhere with them and make something scary, the same goes for gameplay, You could have spiders that shoot webs to hinder you, smaller creatures that stalk and ambush, larger creatures that just tear their way through the map to get to you, and so, so much more, you have to actively try to fail at making a interesting animal.
And my final point, I am immensely biased
I like animals, a lot, I may be a tech person but the animal kingdom both IRL and in fantasy is fascinating to me, and I want to see more animals pop up in the Entity's realm, just try and tell me getting hunted down by Malzeno, the Indoraptor, Fiddlesticks, or any animal you can think of or I have provided a example for wouldn't be scary or at the very least extremely cool
Also
This is one of the best pictures I have ever seen in my time on the internet, I need more like this, if more animals getting into DBD is required for that to happen, then goddamn it, I want it
G'night

I would love for a spider killer. They could be F tier and I'd still adore them cause spiders are cute and need love and protection.

spiders are not insects. also, unnecessarily mean to aracnophobic players.
dragons are too big usually. don't think you want spyro in dbd.

I know that people have been asking for a Werewolf killer. It is such an obvious choice, too. Werewolves are iconic. I would love a werewolf killer in DBD (preferabbly non-licenced, to open up the unlimited potential of cosmetics <3 )!
