The number of people healing me while I try to use Plot Twist is way too high!

Just as the title states, I like to run the perk Plot Twist, which allows you to put yourself into the dying state if injured and then you can heal yourself to 100% and even get a brief speed boost. Generally when using the perk I will move to a corner of the map and activate it. Invariably, about half the time, someone will come running from across the map and get to me just as I am almost done healing. Then they start to heal me, which means I have to wait while the secondary healing is finished, a step that would have otherwise been skipped had the helper not decided to come and "help". Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions to combat it?

You can press shift (on pc which is the run key) when they are about to finish healing you off the ground to cancel and finish the recovery yourself.

It would be nice if there was something to let survivors know you are down due to the effect of Plot Twist.

Nicholas Cage's real life face appears on the hud above whichever character you're playing.

    Make it happen, BHVR.

It would. The amount of times I've absentmindidly revived someone trying to use plot twist because I thought they had legitimately gone down at some point and slugged is sad.

They need to change the aura colour maybe of the person with it. I almost picked up someone with it yesterday, as he went down while I was on hook and I thought the killer was slugging so ran to him after I got unhooked. He jumped up just as I reached him and I realised then.

The best way is to Play SWF so they'll know your strategy and your perks.

You can't blame solo queue player for trying to heal you when they don't know. Same for power struggle, deliverance and some other perks that are detrimental to solo queue games when there's no information.

It's actually not that difficult to tell when someone is using Plot Twist if you're paying attention to the hud. If they're injured and you see the little claws wiggling around their portrait, and they scream as they go down, you know they went down legitimately. If they suddenly go down with no claws or scream, chances are they're using Plot Twist. (Or if they suddenly go down with no scream while someone else has the wiggling claws around their portrait, then it's an easy assumption that they're using Plot Twist.)

Sometimes it happens too fast to be sure, and sometimes if you're distracted it can be easy to miss. I was in struggle stage on hook - so focusing on my skill checks - and a Gabriel was being chased by a killer who had tried slugging a few times during the game. When he went down across the map I assumed he was hit. When he didn't get picked up I assumed the killer was going for the slug. When I got unhooked I made a beeline for him but he, thankfully, jumped up just before I reached him. I think it couldn't hurt to make the aura a different colour or something.

Maybe they’re doing it on purpose to shut down your perk? I personally don’t think I like Plot Twist. I’ve seen it fail so many times. I wouldn’t try to interrupt it (and I don’t) though.

there is no redeeming a soloq player trying to loop around your slug and dropping the pallet you are trying to use with power struggle because even if you didn't have that they are denying a possible pallet save for absolutely no reason. other than that i agree

i see posts like this so often. Does no one know that you can cancel getting healed? And yes, this also works on console, just hold the run button, it cancels the healing and also wont give them the promt to start it again.

Besides that, lets stop acting like they are stupid for trying, they cant know which perks you have.

I don't think anyone is suggesting they are stupid for trying. It's just the game really show tell survivors that you used Plot Twist since it's just creating more SWF vs Solo discrepancy the HUD was trying to solve.
