Bug: Killer Special items (in this case Nemesis Vaccine) blocks daily Relic Veneration

Step 1: Have the Daily Ritual Relic Veneration (Escape and collect a new item 1 time)
Step 2: Collect any item (I collected a yellow flashlight from a chest
Step 3: Collect any Special, Temporary Item related to killer power (I collected a Vaccine for Nemesis)
Step 4: Escape
I know that the vaccine is not a new item, that is not the complaint, but escaping with the vaccine seems to have blocked the game from recognizing that I escaped with a new item that I received mid trial. Scoreboard included to show my character holding a flashlight while also showing that I brought no item into the trial
