Dead by Daylight/Red Dead Redemption 2 Crossover - Arthur Morgan Survivor Concept
Arthur Morgan – DBD Survivor Concept
(Spoilers for Red Dead Redemption 2!)
Bio
“Arthur knew, finally, in that moment where the darkness began to give way to the sun, that he would die. Micah had beaten him within an inch of his life and yet, somehow, he had begun to drag his frail body over to where the revolver lay, one of Micah’s toys discarded during the fight, a final reprieve that Arthur would at the very least be able to take the snake down with him. His arms, more resembling thin branches now than those of a fighter, clawed at the rocks and he slowly but surely crawled closer to the gun. Micah, also beaten, yelled out that he had lost, and Arthur ignored him.
His digits burned but his skin felt clammy and cold, even underneath his leather coat that had hung loosely to his frame for what must’ve been weeks. He’d been too stubborn to take it off, even in the heat of Roanoke Ridge, knowing that his gaunt appearance would only raise questions at camp, how they would wonder how the thin, shrivelling, dying mess of a man that was now Arthur Morgan would keep them safe. The cough, he could write off as a common cold. His pale, sweaty skin, a result of the blistering heat. But he could not explain away how a hulk of a man had suddenly become a frail, skeleton-like shadow of his former self. So the coat remained on, even as he slept. It made sense, then, that he would die wearing it too, the coat now an extension of his own self.
Dutch had caught up to him just as the gun was in reach, a boot clamping down on his bony hand. Arthur would have yelled out had he not gone numb and if his lungs were capable of producing anything louder than a hoarse whisper. It was over, Dutch told him.
And it was. They were all either dead or better off dead. The Van der Linde Gang was gone, a product of a bygone era and the mind of a leader turned mad. Or perhaps, as Arthur had thought once before, the mind of a tyrant who had shown his true colours. Arthur wasn’t sure which was sadder. Micah was the rat. Everyone knew it. And somehow Dutch remained either blind or uncaring. Micah followed his orders. That was all that mattered now. The chaos and death they left in their wake didn’t matter. Neither did keeping the camp folk safe. Arthur had kept himself going, even as their situation with the law grew worse, by believing that there was a reason behind what they were doing. They could all make enough money to leave the civilised world behind, start anew in a far-off land the law wouldn’t reach. Little Jack would be safe. All those who had died before would have died for a reason. But they’d failed, time and time again, and it had slowly dawned on Arthur that Dutch relished in the chaos. He didn’t want to leave. He was still here, wasting his time with a dying man who could no longer be seduced by his silver tongue, even as the Pinkertons circled them like vultures.
But Arthur felt he himself had changed. The Tuberculosis, as morbid as it was, gave him a sense of finality. A stand-off he couldn’t just shoot himself out of. A war he wouldn’t win. And with it, came comfort. He wouldn’t have to keep killing. He wouldn’t have to look people in the eye as he took everything that they owned, knowing he’d signed them away to a life of misery in the pursuit of whatever Dutch had called freedom. He wouldn’t have to watch the father figure he’d loved fall further apart. It would just… end. There was no point in trying to make up for what he’d done, he’d told himself. And yet, he tried anyway. He cancelled the camp’s debt collecting. He helped a young woman, recently widowed and void of hope, stitch herself back together in the wilderness. He sat with an old veteran and reminisced about the old days, when before he would have just robbed him. It would never be enough to fill the aching pain that came with knowing that he had never needed to be a bad man, but it was something. And that would have to be enough.
Time blurred. Before he knew it, Dutch and Micah were both gone, having left Arthur to his fate. All he could do was muster up the last of his strength and crawl towards the edge of the cliffside. There was a small alcove sculpted into the side, and it suddenly looked like a perfect place to rest. Arthur felt like laughing. The life he had lived, and it would be tuberculosis that killed him.
He fell back against the rocks and waited. There was nothing to hear but the rasping noise of his breath, and Arthur began to feel colder still, like he was melding into the mountain. He saw the sun poke over the horizon but did not feel its warm embrace. Then, he could not see it at all. A thick, blinding fog rose from the trees below to meet him, and Arthur then only saw darkness. In what he thought were his final moments Arthur felt content. He would greet Hell with open arms, he decided, for it was what he deserved.
Arthur was never seen again. Charles Smith, a fellow outlaw who Arthur had grown closer to in his dying days, never found his body. He was never buried, and his bounty of $5000 was never claimed.

Perks
Arthur’s perks allow him to track the killer's scratch marks, prioritise his team’s survival over his own and become a force to be reckoned with when on the brink of death.
Eagle Eye: Your heightened sense for the world around you allows you to pick up on details that would pass others by, a trait that has given you a crucial edge while on the run. After staying hidden within the killer’s terror radius for 45 seconds, press the Active Ability button to active Eagle Eye. While Eagle Eye is activated, the killer leaves behind scratch marks of their own that last six seconds longer than usual and can be tracked by you with a press of the Active Ability button. While Tracking, you see the killer’s aura intermittently for three seconds for every six seconds of Tracking. Losing sight of the killer’s scratch marks for six seconds will cause you to lose the trail and for Tracking to end. Eagle Eye is deactivated upon losing a health state and must be recharged to activate it again.
“Look, you gotta hold steady… and firm. You just focus, breathe slowly… and always pull the trigger on empty lungs.” – Arthur Morgan
Our Best Selves: You may see yourself as someone beyond redemption, but deep within you is someone yearning to do a loving act. Once the killer has achieved three hook states by any means without you yourself losing a hook state, Our Best Selves activates. When you are not within 32m of a fellow survivor, reveal your aura to the killer. Gain a 50% speed increase to healing and unhooking other survivors. Gain an 8% repair speed increase to repairing generators. Taking a protection hit for a fellow survivor will give them a speed increase of 10% for five seconds.
Regardless of activation, gain a blood point bonus of 20,000 BP for each other survivor that escapes the trial (bonuses granted post-trial).
“There is nothing to be afraid of, Mr Morgan. Take a gamble that love exists… and do a loving act.” - Sister Calderón
Grim Absolution: Standing on Death’s door has unleashed an immense rage inside you, a rage you redirect towards your foes. Grim Absolution will be active while you are on your final hook state and in the Injured state. While Grim Absolution is active, stunning the killer by any means will leave them stunned for three seconds longer than normal.
“This idiot is really starting to irritate me… Come on!” – Arthur Morgan
Appearance
Arthur appears as he is in his post-diagnosis state, looking sickly and pale. He will sometimes cough while injured, and rasp while on the hook. However, he is more than content in the Entity’s Realm, having been given the chance to fight for a new family he hopes to eventually call his own. He wears his standard Gunslinger outfit as his default clothing.
Other Outfits
Guarma Castaway –
“I am just trying to make sure that some of us survive, Arthur. Now… shall we proceed?” – Dutch van der Linde
Saint Denis Swindler –
“It’s over. No more bargains. No more deals… I’ve given you enough chances.” – Agent Milton
(I don't have the artistry skills to come up with any perk icons but this was pretty fun to write. Let me know what you think!)

Well, Arthur's end depends on his honor and on the player's decision if he wants to go with Jon or go to a chest
