Cosmetics for killer power please
I would love to see a tentacle claw instead of trapper beartrap.
Victor fitting Charlotte outfit.
Pentagrams instead of Hags triangles.
Bats instead of Artist crows.
The only reason i heard that is preventing this is that survs would be confused what killer they are facing.
So why not to tell them that? Not at the lobby, but in game. If any survivor interacted with killer/killer power in any way (seeing it for example), would show up killer symbol to said survivor somewhere in the HUD.
Yes, i know that swfs will then share this info. Soloq could for example share this info by meeting another survivor or see its aura, then both of them could see killer symbol.
Are there any other problems with cosmetics for killer power?

Some of these would entail creating a whole new animation — Hag having pentagrams, for instance. It would also completely change her lore.

Animations, yes. But paying for those cosmetics would be enough recompensation for such inconvinience.
What about lore? Lore can be tweaked through cosmetic on its own. We already know that there is infinite number of killers in infinite number of universes where lore could be different.
In one Nurse was killed, in another she commited suicide, in another it was an accident. All this is through her cosmetics (some through tomes which is not kanonical according to Killer history).
Other problems?

Unfortunately it'd be a bad idea to change things like traps, as certain skins will most definitely be harder for survivors to see than others. Stuff like chainsaws, kanabo, and Victor should be allowed though.

Look for Dwight then, he has lot of different backstories. One can say its all one backstory, but the truth is that he could not fit all of those experiences into his one lifespan.
Look at epic skins that brings new killers, those are certainly not the same killer and not the same backstory.
But even so, then how this could not be possible? Why this has to be a problem? New cosmetic means moreless something has changed in original backstory, even if this change is only different shirt, this is still different universe.
Why?
Maps vary, on some maps traps are visible as almost shining, on others those are almost invisible. Changing those would just swap certain maps traps visibility. It is really not a problem, except if you used to see all traps in Eery of crows, and now you would not see those, but at the same time this trap skin would be trival to be spotted in midwich... And maps are RNG dependant.
