Message to our Community
Now this is just me asking that for a couple of days (including the weekend) we all play a bit nicer. After all, we will get a lot of new players due to the Alien chapter and the free weekend. So please don´t try to scare them away by playing in the least fun way.
I know, most people probably won´t read this. But how about we, as a community, try to play without: suiciding, camping, tunneling, BMing and just welcome the new players to our game?
Can we do this, please?

The new player experience is already pretty rough for DBD. Free weekends and new chapters should be times for us all to be ambassadors for this game, show off some of the funnier aspects and lessen the sweating.
So survs: leave the lunchboxes and teabags home for a week or so.
So killers: leave the tunnels and s'mores behind for a couple of days.

The people who can read this / are reading this won't likely be matched with new players.
The people who aren't likely to see this (new killers) will be playing with new survivors.

So how I normally play.
For fairness add slamming gens to the list, there's going to be new killers too.

Since six month, there's only two play-style from the killer, tunneling someone at the beginning/camping him to the second phase and tunnel him when he got unhook
Or, camping immediatly the zone where you got three gen and waiting there, deniying everyone who try to do these
Now, it's pretty pretty rare that I got a good killer, or even more rare, a nice one
So, when I play killer and obliterate everyone, I imagine that is new player or lower player, so I become more friendly in a way
It's funny to say that, when you play survivor, IF you are the first one found, it's just game over for you in a way

The thing about playing nicer is it often scores higher too, at least as a killer. Hook camping and tunnelling is the surest path to capping out under 20K points which is a joke that people do it to themselves.

Why are we here in 2023 and still moaning about the same thing as tunelling, camping, fast gen, no matter how many perks, killers survs that come out this is always going to be a thing, least the OP was giving a glimmer of hope and asking the community for something to all the negative nellies out there. Even if players, some players do this sort of stuff, some don't so let us not feel eveyrone does this stuff and our bad experiences maybe either stop playing, if nothing is getting done or least be nicer.

No joke had a match against a sabo squad on the game(map) and I find it funny how they think they made me mad when my routine to deal with "bully squads" is to camp and bleed them out if they want to try and annoy me you can just sit on the floor and I will tunnel you if you're a ttv pulling this stuff

Basically:
- Take Xeno.
- Agressively fast down survivors, hook them.
- Defend gens.
When everyone on a second hook at 4-5 gens:
- Become a xeno-kitty and ask for pets.
- Who don't pet you - death.

If I know this community as well as I think I do, then many people will read your post and purposely play scummy just because. I feel like no one hates this game as much as its playerbase.

Sorry, but you probably don't know this community well enough.=)
I don't know as well, but I can tell 1 thing for sure: Not everyone play "scummy", nor "toxic" towards the others.
I even think that most of the playerbase of this game (high mmr or low) playing respectfully to other side.
Also: "In each family there is a troglodite", no matter what game you play, you will find such "scummy players", the only thing we can do is just shake it off and move on to the next match.

I never said "everyone" plays scummy. I said some people will read the OP and purposely play contradictory, because many people in this community have a "your fun is not my responsibility" attitude. I've posted countless times here that I rarely see tunnelling and camping in my survivor games, and as such those things don't bother me, so I agree most people play respectfully. But that's not what I was saying in my post.
My point was that asking the community to play (or not play) in a certain way is futile. Ask people to not abuse a new exploit, they will. Ask people to not abuse a new meta and drag games for an hour (see gen kick meta), they will. Topics around tunnelling are common in the community and often devolve fast because - surprise - people don't like being told how to play.

new players versing new players is fine, but you know mmr... we definitely can face brand new players, i do at least lol

Unfortunatelly, you're right about it.=)
But just asking to be nice for 1-3 days should not be futile, don't you think?=)
There should be a reminder:
- It's just a game.
- You're playing against living people.
- Wins can taste sour.

It's a nice idea, but why lie to them? The game is what the game is. Better they know that now when they can get a refund than find out later with money lost and a game they don't want to play. :/

Play nice for a few days so they think the game is ok and invest some money in it and then, BAM, return to type and make them miserable and regretful for spending money on DBD like the rest of us, shrewd plan - I like it.
