Whole match disconnected, everyone penalized

Issue: Everyone in this match disconnected (unsure why) and all of my friends / survivors (3 of us) got penalized and could not join a new match for a bit. Im okay now but unsure why we got penalized if it was the servers or the killer / host? Mostly reporting in case it happens again
