I could not place my Blast Mine on a generator.

I was against Alien. I was running Blast Mine, Flashbang, Buckle Up and Blood Pact. Even after working on the generator for 3 seconds, the activate blast mine prompt never showed up.

Once Blast Mine is charged, you will need to stop working on the Generator (and your character is standing up, as automatically occurs when not repairing), you will get the UI prompt to install it on the generator.
