Skull Merchant Rework Suggestion
I am a Skull Merchant main, but have held off on using her since the 3 gen strat on her is quite unfair. I am not sure what her rework will look like, since I think her power altogether needs to be reworked (and not just number tweaks).
Here is a suggestions I have, I hope it helps;
Take away her drone's zones, and make her drone act like a "totem" that she hovers around the map (after all totems are made from skulls). The more drones she places, the stronger she gets (techs up?),.. so surv need to hack her drones or take the risk of playing her at Tech IV.
Something like,..
1 drone = gets undetectable status, 2 drones = she gets extended lunges, 3 drones = she vaults and kicks palettes/walls/gens faster, 4 drones = can see aura of all surv (and her watching eye animation above them?)
The effects can be other things, I chose these 'cause they play into her lore of hunting/on the prowl.
Obviously, there would be cooldown between putting down multiple drones (ie higher cooldown based on how many drones are already out) so she can't instantly get all her power.
She still would have her tracker, which would show her location of any surv near her drone (only if she looks at readout tho), but no killer instinct or exposed effect. She can also "ping" her drones intermediately, to make them unhackable for 10 sec. Pings would also send out a small wave of sonar and show aura of surv 8 meters of them for 1 second. (just a tick) Pinging a drone would have a cooldown, much like the cooldown for activating a drone currently. But that's it.
Hacking her drones will have the same arm-trap consequences as they do currently (speed boost + location readout from device + pallet break on rush vaults).
Drones will also be in constant scanning mode, making them very easy to spot on map, but also not too easy to rush hack. If a surv is detected by a scan, the drone pings and becomes unhackable for 10 sec.
Basically, surv have a choice of going up against a stealthy/tracking skull merchant OR hack her drones and risk a 1-on-1 with her (or a mix of the two).
