Trapper sack sucks and this is why

Before anyone here asks “how many hours do you have” and all that stuff, been playing since launch, mained trapper through all these years and over 9k hours

Now, to the point at hand.

I firmly believe trapper sack is a mid addon that is overpraised beyond belief. Any good trapper with time management is able to recognize when it is vital to pick up a trap or set one (which should be the second if not the most important thing to do) and when not to. Another important thing to do as trapper is identify if a trap is doing poorly or simply ######### irrelevant. (Gen near the trap is completed/the loop is weaker because of connecting tiles or the pallet is gone)

Which if you have trapper sack, is ######### pointless because you can’t change where you place a trap.

The reason people complain about trapper is how ######### ABYSMAL his trap spawns are. Hence why BHVR should fix the spawns instead of putting a bandaid over the booboo. And trapper sack itself incentivizes to just be honk mimimi basement dweller/3 gen trapper. I foam at the mouth any time trapper sack is mentioned because it is truly a mid addon in my eyes. I find ######### coffee grounds to be more worthwhile just because trapper sack doesn't allow you to pick up traps and how dumb the prospect of making it basekit it. I believe most trapper players just have a ######### huge skill issue and are playing him as if he’s a normal killer and not realizing there’s more to him.

The only time I find it to be reasonable to use trapper sack is if you’re just starting out to play trapper, since it drills into your head how important good trap spots are. Which even then, I firmly advise you to stop using that mid addon.

    People think trapper sack is good? Who in the name of dwight would run an addon that makes you unable to pickup traps for the small upside of having all traps upon spawning into the trial? Also yeah when all the maps left that are decent for trapper get reworked to either be so bright or little to no grass then it kind of makes the killer worse and worse.

    Agree, i only use it sometimes with Iri Stone just to cancel most annoying loops and forget about traps. Without Iri Stone this addon is just nerf to Trapper.

    I think they got carried away at some point and decided that any Very Rare or Ultra Rare addon needs a downside, when it's actually not. I hope they will review this addon in the future.

    Ditto.

    For giving Trapper a buff that he should have gotten by default for years now, he loses all ability to reposition traps and neuters his tactical decision making.

    Absolutely terrible add-on.

    I wouldn't say suck... but I certainly don't use it cause not picking traps back is dumb

    trapper a methodical beast! very underrated. You constantly need to adjust your game plan by moving traps and the sack remove that ability entirely. Not wroth it at all

    Yep I miss the old trapper sack that just gave extra carry.

    Not being able to move traps is the most worthless thing and I have so many of the dam things now that will never be used.

    Avoid it in the the blood web like the plague.

    Trapper's problems are fundamental to his power being incompatible with modern DBD... I totally agree not making this add-on basekit to try and shoe horn strength on him.

    This add on is a gamble play style that can only be used if you go hard on a 3 gen near basement, and use it to close down all major loops and pallets within an area. If survivors get 1 of your 3 gen, or you can't get a basement hook, you're in trouble.

    Basically its like a weak versuon of chess merchant... Suffice to say, no Trapper should be forced to play like this. If the play style stays, it stays, but don't force everyone to use it.

    Yes. People think it’s good. It does have some merit by allowing you to set up your area immediately. But it doesn’t allow you that wiggle room to set up traps that may or may not work.
