The Bots Are Strange

Why is every bot I encounter an absolute lunatic?

They are either failing to unhook because they are busy running from a killer that is chasing someone else on the other side of the map, fast vaulting at me to heal me and letting the killer know exactly where we are, or doing **** like this:

Props to the bot for playing like a complete douche though 🤳

I had a match a few days ago where the Yui bot ran up to my gen which I had about 70% done, and then proceeded to rapidly fail four skill checks in a row, killing the gen's progression and alerting the Wesker to our location. Then, to make matters worse, as I was scrambling to get away before the killer could get a bead on my location, the damn bot chases after me, drops a pallet (while the killer is not in LoS, I might add), and then as the killer come sprinting for us, the bot jukes in front of me proceeds to **stand still** at the window to body block me, and then slow vaults through the window while I take the hit.

Honestly, the bots are worse than just having a classic DC.

Few weeks ago I had a bot that was stukc in some kind of loop: It would go to a medkit on the ground, pick it up, imidiately put it down again, move 5 feet away, just to turn back and repeat. While the bot was busy doing this, another real player died on the hook, bc nobody could save them (I was dead already, the other survivor wounded and in chase, and the bot having fun with their med kit). Only when the other player was downed and hooked as well (the other hanging being dead at this point), and the killer came near enough for the bot to hear the TR, the bot managed to break out of this loop. It was hilarious and sad at the same time ^^.

Dayum, what a mad lad! I wish I would pull off such a play even once in my life time! Who in their right mind would leave the exit gates just to befuddle the killer? Well, a bot that knows that the hatch is close.

Bots are silly. Devs kept them at the noobiest setting to assure Killers their 4K potential, and be pretty much useless to Survivors.

It’s fun chasing them around at 1/2 speed for a while to see what routes they take, how many pallets they drop, how many worthless tiles on the outskirts of the map they’ll try n loop you on.

They have such a weird range setting beyond the terror radius; They’ll just run away from an objective for no reason when everything’s calm and peaceful, as tho they’re being chased.

It’s hysterical… they’re like cartoons the Devs drew into matches to provide comic relief.

I think of them as little dogs running around entertaining themselves… I wanna play with them n see what they’ll do, but not hurt them or hook em or anything. idk, it’s a strange situation 😄

I like to kill the bots because I feel like any points they get are being wasted, and I prefer they go to the humans that will spend and enjoy them.

They don't play like noobs, I don't think. They play a style that was common years ago, see the killer, run to the infinite loop, loop until killer gets bored. Repeat until game ends. Loops aren't infinite anymore, so it doesn't work, but that's the style they seem to be emulating.

It was also a very "I don't give a sh*t about other survivors or accomplishing anything" type of playstyle, which supports my theory. Survivors will play hard to save a bot, the bot does not return the favor.

    👆🏽yep, 💯 for sure

Never had a bot loop me like a boss or anything, or haven’t seen any matches vs others where they seem set to even a mid to high skill level. Probz the older style as you mentioned, but I do believe they have the potential… their jukes just seem foreign from what I expected, I guess.

I’ve noticed that the bots have perfect reactions to certain killers. Perfectly timed dodges when it comes to projectiles, meaning that you are simply not hitting a bot at long rangeg in the open with Huntress and Slinger

    They can just see Wraith,

Singularity cannot tag a bot unless they have nowhere to hide. They know precisely where to stand to remain in sight, but not be taggable.

And by god they are nearly impossible to catch out at L-T walls.

But then they also get stuck vaulting Z-windows and have really weird general pathing sometimes.

Also they’re absolute gods at flashlight saves, in the rare case they do go for them.

I've stood on the other side of a wall to a bot before and could hear as it kept going left and right to counter whatever direction I input for. It was super cheap. But I was Nurse. So...

They're not even good at the loops, they just won't leave them. If there's a long loop they like during EGC, they'll die there every time.

I had an Ace bot that changed directions so abruptly that I failed to hit him at least two times. It was a short albeit weird chase. Probably the weirdest I had with my killer.

You can always make them not escape if you go further than them in exit area. They double back.

Yes that also happens with cloacked wraith.
