Konami Code Failure

I play on console (ps4) and the konami code does not work because it's interrupted by the daily rituals tab when I press left on my d-pad. I bought the chapter bundle, tried it with pyramid head as my main menu killer, and it just doesn't seem to work anymore. I know it's an incredibly small thing and it's not a priority, but I really liked that easter egg and now it's just not available anymore.
