Should objectives change to reflect the match?

I think we have all experienced a match where things have gone south for one reason or another. Even when doing well as an individual, the current flow can quickly snowball in the opposite direction and I find this to be true for both sides.

So when a match tips to the point where the original objectives are far and unlikely, should new objectives that reflect the situation take priority?

What would work as a replacement on the individual level yet still be on par with the team effort needed for gens?

How would you temper the suggestion to discourage teammates from waiting out the necessity of team effort?

I think the objectives should stay the same, but whoever's losing at any given point should get buffed so that there's still a back and forth in the gameplay.
