The survivors were non-stop screaming, at least 2x the amount of the MFT complaints.

Because every single match there are roughly 2 MFT users, if they are in SWF it can easily go up to the full set of four. And every time it makes looping just so tedious; it would be no biggy in the hands of a beginner, but any experienced survivor who could do well without it becomes nearly untouchable. The good players with this perk are so aggrevating and its so tiring.

It's not even just the fact they nerfed xeno. It's the fact they nerfed xeno when the problem being complained about was due to a bug.
Couldn't even let the non bugged version sit out in live just to see if it was actually an issue.

Blight was always popular topic and after 3 years, he still did not get any nerf.
Eruption also took so long to nerf.
But yeah, ofcourse. Survivorside devs. Devs just hates killers. I will play TCM right now and i will leave DbD to die.

DH would like a word with you. It was the most complained about thing on this forum by far and it took them quite a bit to nerf it. And then they had to nerf it again because it was still too strong.
It has nothing to with the amount of complaints. It is more of a: "BHVR's ways are inscrutable." situation.

Both Blight and DH have been talked about for a long while, but the screams never didn't reach alien levels for more than a day at a time. The whole forum had 80% alien rant for a week, which is why BHVR nerfed him.

It can't be beyond your notice that survivors voted with their feet. After a new dlc is normally a spike of concurrent players. For the last 2 weeks, survivors have had nearl 100% buff to bloodpoints and steamdb charts show total players online at below 40k.
They may not have fixed xeno optimally but they HAD to do something

It's probably easier to see the effect of a new killer than it would be for a perk. Especially if that perk isn't drastically affecting killrates. With a new killer you can easily look at data and say , "Oh snap! Xeno has an 80% kill rate in high MMR"
Whereas with MFT, even if kill rates lower greatly when using this perk, you have to examine the other perks used with it for trends (Hope+MFT=more escapes or X+MFT=fewer escapes). To see what to adjust and where.

Non of them nerfed just because survivors asked. They were popular topics on forum as well. Except SM ( Devs admitted with her design issues and promised us rework) non of them is getting changes.
Do you know why?
Because devs only care about their stats. They are not taking actions just because some people are asking for it.
But you are free to believe whatever you want. I am not trying to change your opinion, i know i can't.

But.. they were reverting a change made after the PTB, instead of designing a new variant of the power... wouldn't it make sense that it would be faster?

Knight is miserable.
Skull merchant is still.. the skull merchant.
Also made for this is being looked at... its not being ignored. They just don't want to turn it into mettle of man.
So... no its not exactly who makes the most noise, rather some changes are easter then others. Didn't see people outraged after they buffed the Xenomorph after only the short PTB.

If they have said it's going to be changed, what's the point in making a thread whining about it? We know it's getting changed so why not just wait and see what BHVR does with it? Why make a thread just to post salty feelings and swim in a bunch of toxicity?

It's worth mentioning that Ultimate Weapon wasn't nerfed, despite that getting a comparable number of complaints to Made For This.
My interpretation is that the devs are more willing to make small changes to killers (Especially changes that are largely reverting buffs from previous updates) than they are to immediately make balance changes to perks. Makes sense to me, it's very easy for killers to snowball out of control, moreso than the average perk.
Killers do usually get small tweaks after they come out, to my recollection. That's more normal for this game than perks getting changes in the same timeframe.

The most popular comment is essentially, BHVR only responds to crying and survivors cry more. If that is the overwhelming sentiment then no, nobody is happy. These threads always end up the same. Everyone pours their own frustrations into a thread and everyone leaves more miserable than when they arrived. It's a scenario where absolutely nobody wins.
Alien got it's tail tweaked so when it misses it's ranged melee attack, it is as punishing as others killers, and MFT for this is getting changed. Alien is still very strong and barely got changed, and the thing killers have been complaining about for months is getting addressed. The response to that should be cautious optimism, not doomerism.

I said it in another post already. so im gonna copy paste here:

I would argue that survivor sees a bit more variety than killer does. Therefore the things that are unchanged sting a bit more. Killers see them every game. Survivors do not. For the most part.
If something is seen every game, players will be upset.

It was basicly about the same thing: killers complaining about mft not getting nerfed right now but Xenomorph getting nerfed. Its more about the when rather then the "is it coming at all".

I know it's technically a nerf, but the lack of slow down on missed tail attacks really did feel out of place, and was probably easier to modify (looking at the forums, it may have broken several things at the same time 👀). Reworking MFT into something less annoying would take longer.
I definitely think perks won't get changed if they are paid for and popular, right away. I don't think UW will be nerfed straight away. It's paid for and it's very popular. I'd wager it will get nerfed in a few months. But I could be wrong on that.
