Why is the community so toxic?

I am not saying everyone, but it's like people can't share their experiences with the game without been targeted, oh you ddi that, git good, oh that happened, run this perk, oh the other happened, you should do this. Why when peple say they are quitting, talk about a bad or good game and out come the negative nellies, who end up saying git good, run this perk, why are you on here making this post. Like seriously? Some wish to share things, bad or good, but then get twatwaffles that seemed to tinge and hate things, I mean why? trolling? no life? just to be a dick? maybe have a good word, helpful word or just stfu unless have something nice or positive to say, does it make these peeps sleep at night to spread or post the negative crap? Let us maybe strive for some positive thoughts, lets encourage people on their experienced and not verly be such dick heads in the process. Again this is not to all, but those who do it, you know, yeah, you know.

Yeah - Misery Squad has been putting some extra work in on the forums, lately.

    Super negative? Check.

Denigrate any opinions they disagree with? Check.

Obvious bias in most topics/discussions? Check.

It's generally best to just ignore them if it's burning you out - You're not missing anything and their posts usually say a lot more about them than anything related to the game.

It's very easy to forget that the game is rated 'M' when reading some postings @_@

Because it's "Us" against "Them" and it's just not fair! And blah, blah, blee, blue! Other people make me sad..

Honestly, recently my games have been alright. Even with a total loss or with all of us escaping people did not add any cuss words in the endgame chat. But half the time it is closed for me and I only open it if I want to say "gg" after a long match. When you approach DbD in a casual - and never competitive - way it can be fun. I just returned several months of hiatus only to purchase Cage and Ripley. I'm having fun facing the Xeno and at this point the abundance of such players does not bother me.

Its really not, Its probably one of the most wholesome communities out there. The forums are a wasteland but 99% of my end game chats are people just saying gg or laughing about the game. Granted I go out of my way to give people bug facts and stuff to lighten the mood a lot but even playing anon I still just get super nice people. There's a lot of experience bias around here as people don't usually visit a forum to say nice things about something.

game's in a relatively balanced state minus one or two exceptions so now all the people who normally would dedicate themselves to ruining people's evening on the game are dedicating themselves to ruining peoples mood on the forums ig

There's a bunch of kids on the forum, and they look just like everyone else. Although they give themselves away with the hysterics and the insane levels of self-pity they show off.

They make everything seem more toxic than it is because of how loud they are. But they are a minority. They don't represent most of us.

Don't ask me about DbD on Twitter. I assume it's like most things on Twitter, garbage that's not worth even reading.

Maybe the forum could just add two threads, one for survivor complaints and another for killers. Sweep all the trash into those two threads, so the front page won't be flooded with so many negative threads.
