Insidious Rework Idea

I have an idea for how we can rework Insidious.

  • If 2 or more Survivors do not move for more than 20/15/10 seconds, the Killer gains the Undetectable status until those Survivors move again.
  • If the Killer becomes Undetectable, they will remain Undetectable for an additional 2 seconds after the original duration expires.

Moving in this case means actually walking around. Staying in 1 physical spot even while doing generators or healing will count as not moving.

    If working on gens and healing counts as not moving I think you'd have to make it activate only when all survivors stop moving.

    An alternative would be that any survivor who is not moving for so many seconds gains Oblivious. This would pair very welll with Fearmonger.

    This would be beyond busted. Every Killer (except the ones with Lullabies) would be a stealth Killer if Survivors are all on gens.

    Combine that with Discordance and insta-down Killers would get free downs all the time. Grouping up on a gen would straight up give Killers like Bubba and Myers free kills.

    I'm sorry but it would literally discourage grouping up on gens. Do you want Survivors to always be split on gens? Because that's the very definition of genrush.

    Insidious is good at essentially one thing and it's already much more efficient and unhealthy than it should be in SoloQ.
