Can we talk about how costume quality gone down so badly?

Very few memorable costumes have been released.
Most of this year costumes are really so bad. Especially last months.
We know BHVR changed their plans on costumes, now they are making more costumes but i am feeling like BHVR is rushing artists to do faster. It feels like artists did not get enough time to make these costumes better. It's the case quantity over quality.
I am hardly seeing people are using new costumes. The only costumes i saw used so much was Mikaela's Future Vision and Maria. And this is telling so much about your costume quality, they are bad.

I feel what you are saying.
This one stuck out massively, the random color explosion makes it pretty terrible IMO.
This is just one example, there are tons more. Have you seen anyone running around in the new nordic cosmetics at all?

Future vision hag, greek legends dredge, alien queen, deadly games oni and the ikumi nakamura collection are all amazing and I've seen people using them a fair amount after their release.

not your taste =/= low quality

I couldn't have disagreed more. The quality and diversity of this era of cosmetics is evidently better. Ofcourse there are few flops but in general the design standard and amount of content is superior to what we used to get a few months ago.

I think part of the reason newer skins are rarer to be seen is that all of them are auric cell only for some time. I for sure am waiting for plenty of pieces to get shard availability to run them as the quality in general is pretty damn good recently - though design-wise they are obviously hit-and-miss but they are supposed to appeal to a broader audience after all..

Exactly. And this is why the top 5 survivors mostly get skins especially during timed events like the anniversary with feng in order to compensate for the auric to shards system they placed like a year ago.

I actually think we've had alot of great cosmetics recently. There's definitely been some misses but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that

Not really. When they release good costumes like Mikaela's Future Vision or Renato's deadly games costume people are not waiting for shard option.

It’s the opposite for me. Only a few stand out as actually ugly and unwearable. Most of the new cosmetics are amazing, but of course there are exceptions (that one pink one for Haddie. Bless her heart). The cosmetic team has been killing it lately in general, of course there is room for improvements, but big props to them!

I can't agree with you more lol.
And these popular survivors are getting better quality costumes. Did you see how good are Feng, Meg, Kate, Dwight, Mikaela etc costumes.
And then they are making very bad Haddie, David, Adam, Gabriel costumes. I am still seeing Haddies with her anniversary costume but not with store costumes lol.

There are so good gems lately but I ain't spending a cent on any of those as long as DBD still does that time-limited collections BS.

Every game out there does it. It’s called marketing and FOMO strategy.

That doesn't make it okay.

My only concern is about the quality of Rift outfits, it's always the worst ones.
And basically only 3, 4 characters are getting constantly new outifts. It's baffling.

this response doesn’t help in making it seem like your only definition of good or bad is if you personally like them..

New fire moon festival skins are very good imo, I like 4 of them Gabriel, Yui, Feng and Doctor, even Adam one is not too bad

idk about that one chief, i find the quality to have gone up more than down.

I think for the most part they have been good. The only one mentioned that I think is a terrible design is Haddie's.
As I Johan main I like his "Nordic" outfit and I purchased it. It would agree that maybe the Nordic collection is a little vanilla but I don't think it's bad.

You can't blame a company for doing a marketing strategy that works and gives the more income. If you don't like it, just don't take part init. Don't agree? Don't buy. It's that easy. It's what I do when I disagree or dislike something.
2 -
I can absolutely blame a company for alienating their consumer base.
I already don't buy it. Doesn't mean I cannot also complain on official forums too.

I think that you're just diving too deeply in something that is really not that serious. It's the problem of people obsessed with cosmetics and having everything, it's on them to learn to control their compulsive consumist behavior.

I don't plan to own every cosmetic. It just pisses me off DbD is going that road when they were doing just fine for 5 years.
