KILLER: The Mind/Beholder

This creature enterally thirsts for knowledge that is never quenched. its every question must be answered no matter how small or trivial nothing is allowed to remain hidden from its all seeing eye! And what a better mystery to resolve Then entity origins itself. so It was with great eagerness that beholder accepted the entities pull to its realm a cage is not cage if you hold the key after all...

TLDR: if you want the short version without reading all the specifics (I go into GREAT detail below!)

  1. Killer can see the survivor UI that survivors normally only see (killer starts out very weak)
  2. Killer starts out weak but gains power through guessing what perks survivors are using - max 16/16
  3. Survivors gain afflictions based on correct amount perks a killer has guessed they are using - max 4/4
  4. Survivor can remove a affliction by correctly guessing a perk that the killer is using.
  5. Both killer and Survivor know what guessed perk is wrong and guessed perk is correct.

Map - SCP Research Base (similar feel to old strangers thing map) if you don't know what the SCP is read here

Attitude - is highly intelligent but views survivors as lower lifeforms not beings equal to its vast intellect it could speak telepathically with survivors if it deemed too but views them as not worth its time conversing with.

Movement Speed - 105% (this increases as the beholder grows more powerful: max 125%)

Terror Radius - None (this increases as the beholder grows more powerful: max 40 meters)


Passive Power - Omniscience (Conditional)

You begin trial with the ability to fully see the survivor UI that normally survivors can only see

  • Omniscience will be disabled for 30 seconds if you guess 100% incorrectly - 0/4 perks guessed are right
  • This killer is a lot Myers they start off very weak and they gain strength through correctly guessing survivors perks (this why they have such a strong passive to fully see survivor UI)

Active Power - Abyssal Gaze (Sub Power)

  • Lock onto any killer related objective that's aura can be seen
  • including survivors auras (if visible from perks and such)


Active Power - All Knowing Eye (Main Power)

  • Once locked onto any objective if All knowing Eye is used the killers singular eye will close (visually the survivors no longer see the beholders eyes just the eyelid) the killer will then begin to automatically path to the locked onto objective
    • In this state the killer cannot attack or see survivors or hear any noises they make or create with loud actions and omniscience is also completely disabled until canceled. (a lot like spirit but also cant hear)
      • Note the you will only path to area the survivors aura was last seen not where they ran to afterwards.
        • This can used while carrying a survivor to hook automatically but is very risky survivors can body block you and you cant see or hear them or hit them until you cancel the power, however when the eye is closed you cannot be blinded but can be stunned.
        • if Abyssal Gaze was not used on any objective the power will work but the killer stands completely still while they use it (bad idea don't do this)
        • if the power is canceled early the auto pathing stops, it takes the killer 2 seconds to exit this state
  • This killer needs to ability to auto path because using the UI to guess survivor perks takes time to use and a killer that spends to much time doing nothing standing still could never work.

Passive Power - All Knowing Eye (Killer Enhancements)

While All Knowing Eye is in use the killer will have access to a special UI that allows them select a survivor and then their guess their perks!

  • if a perk is guessed correctly the UI will lock that perk in as correct from then on only 3 perks can be changed for that survivor it will no longer be counted as part a guess either since it is now a confirmed perk a survivor is using and will be added to current total of correctly guessed perks (max 16)
  • Dead survivors can still have their perks guessed
  • if a survivor is not using a perk slot then a guess slot it will be greyed out, the amount guess options the killer has will always match amount perks the survivors is using
    • this does mean these are free correct guesses added to the killers total max goal of 16.
    • I really wish the developers just let you use 4 perk slots regardless of if your killer or survivor level is 15 its silly outdated rule that should go...


  • if None of the perks guessed are are correct all Omniscience will become disabled for 30 seconds
  • guessing 100% incorrectly THREE times in a row will now also disable All Knowing Eye for 30 seconds as well until one survivor perk is guessed correctly then the incorrect guess counter will reset.

    The passive buffs gained are based on percentage of survivor perks out of 16 total correctly guessed

    • Each time the killer reaches a benchmark a global audio queue is played to alert survivors of the increase in the killers power!
      • 25% (4/16 perks guessed)
        • movement speed is now 110% and terror radius 16 meters
      • 50% (8/16 perks guessed)
        • movement speed is now 115% and terror radius 24 meters
      • 75% (12/16 perks guessed)
        • movement speed is now 120% and terror radius 32 meters
      • 100% (16/16 perks guessed)
        • movement speed is now 125% and terror radius 40 meters
          • this pretty much impossible to do and would take lots of game knowledge which why such a high speed is given the average will be 115% even just 12/16 correct perks 120% speed will be tough to do!


    Passive Power - All Knowing Eye (Survivor Afflictions)

    • Survivors gain afflictions based on the total number of perks the killer has guessed that they are using for a total of 4/4 (not based on the team total different for each survivor)
      • 1/4 of a survivors perks guessed
        • Survivor is now afflicted with Watched
          • New Status: every 60 seconds the survivors aura is revealed to the killer for 5 seconds (survivors will know when this is happening to them, can be prevented while in a locker)
      • 2/4 of a survivors perks guessed
        • Survivor is now afflicted with Blindness
      • 3/4 of a survivors perks guessed
        • Survivor is now afflicted with Oblivious
      • 4/4 of a survivors perks guessed
        • Survivor is now afflicted with Reckless
          • New Status: Survivors can no longer heal themselves or anyone else from injured to healthy and must also always run while moving.
            • You can still unhook and heal others from dying to injured
            • You can still find a survivor who is not reckless to heal you

    NOTE: These afflictions can removed by guessing 1 perk the killer is using correctly, survivors will have the option do this if they have at least 1 affliction (much like survivors get the sub ability to snap out of madness versus doctor)

    • for each perk guessed correctly survivors can remove any 1 affliction of their choice even the most recent ones (if all killer perks are guessed survivors will have 0 affliction even if the killer guessed all their perks.
      • the strategy around this is interesting if the killer is running a very obvious perk like corrupt intervention do you use your sure guess to get rid of first 1/4 affliction you get, or do you wait to see if its needed to remove a more deadly 4/4 affliction the choice is all the survivors!
    • Survivors can chose to guess a killers perks up the current max amount of afflictions they currently have.
      • Example: survivors has had three of their perks guessed so they have 3 afflictions when they open their special guess UI they can input 3 killer perks at once instead of just 1 guess if they had only 1 affliction.
    • Each time a survivor guess is 100% wrong they suffer from escalating consequences.
      1. wrong guess causes the survivor to scream.
      2. wrong guess in row the survivor now screams and becomes exposed for 30 seconds.
        1. for 30 seconds the survivor cannot guess again.
      3. wrong guess in a row the survivor now screams and is injured a health state.
        1. for 30 seconds the survivor cannot guess again.
    • Guessing one correct killer perk resets the wrong guess counter back to 0.


  • if a killer is not using a perk slot it will be greyed out, the guess UI will only have the amount options the match the amount of perks the killer is using.
    • This means for each perk slot the killer is not using survivor get 1 "free" affliction removal of their choice
    • AGAIN let us use 4 perks slot at level 1 this is outdated and makes no sense!!
  • The killer will know the amount of afflictions that are affecting each survivor and when 1 is removed but is not told which exact ones are still present.
  • Lastly yeah I know SWF have a huge advantage and can just all breeze through removing afflictions and share guesses they tried with each other and once 1 survivor figures out the killer perks out they just can share all of them, I don't see a solution to this but acknowledge it can happen... I would hope survivors honor the intent of the killer to have more fun playing against them but in the end its SWFs choice.

    KILLER PERKS


    Hide & Seek

    No truth can remain hidden..

    • Every 60 seconds reveal the aura of the survivor with the least amount hooks for 4/5/6 seconds
      • if some survivors still have 0 hooks reveal the survivor who is farthest from you
      • if all survivors have the same amount of lowest hooks reveal the survivor who was hooked first.
    • When your aura can be seen by a survivor you see that survivors aura as well.

    Accelerated Growth

    Evolve, Adapt, Try Again

    • Each time a survivor performs a fast action in chase gain a token (max tokens 3)
    • the perk goes on 10/9/8 second cooldown once gaining a token, during this time no tokens can be gained.
      • each token increases the following actions speed by 10%
        • vaulting a window (max 30%)
        • kicking a pallet or generator (max 30%)
        • stun recovery from pallet stuns (max 30%)
        • picking up a survivor (max 30%)
      • when any listed action above is done consume all current tokens (max tokens 3)

    Containment Break

    Freedom at last! or is it?

    • Once a exit gate has reached 75% progression a 10 second timer starts that will restart if the exit gate progress increases at all. When this perks countdown reaches 0 the second phase of the perk activates.
      • Once active for every second that passes add time to perks duration once triggered (max 60 seconds)
    • When a gate would been opened instead block it for the duration this perk reached during its second stage.
    • Each gate has its own timer and interactions with this perk, they are not shared!
      • YES this perk is completely countered by just fully opening a gate like normal and it can never trigger and that's the point, do you start endgame now or 99 the gate and risk containment break?

    Sharing is Caring

    What's mine is yours!

    • All aura reading perks being used by the user of this perk are shared with teammates.
    • you can no longer Benefit from any aura perks at all.
    • Gain Immunity to Blindness.

    Martyrdom

    I'm the one you want!

    • You have decreased chance of being the obsession
    • Perk can only be used on a survivor that is currently hooked and on death hook (hooked twice)
      • You must have also been hooked 0 times to use this perk
        • if you are hooked after using this perk it is now disabled
    • The next time that survivor is hooked again they do not advance a hook stage (don't die)
      • When this happens you become the obsession
      • Also your aura is permanently revealed to the killer when you are not in chase
      • The next time you are downed you instantly die (don't need to be hooked)

    For Science!

    • You permanently have the Reckless Status Effect
      • New Status Effect:
        • You can not heal yourself or others at all from injured to healthy
          • Other Teammates can still heal you
        • You must always run when moving (walking is disabled forever)
