It's time we change map offerings to map ban offerings

One thing DBD has an issue with is toxicity from both sides. One major factor that helps bully squads or pure slug builds\map-wide TR anti-heal shenanigans is the ability to play the game on your own terms - prepping a full squad or killer build specifically with a map in mind (such as ormand + boil over + upstairs). These kind of map votes just to prep for bullies just makes such bully tactics easier to do.

I'd suggest that all map offerings be changed to map bans. That way, if you REALLY don't want to deal with a particular map, you can ensure you don't play it. That, and you'll never be forced into a map that the other side has entirely built a build around. If multiple people bring map bans, to prevent survivors from having an SWF map ban to gain a favor, I'd say only one map ban is picked randomly.

Sure, not everyone who brings a map offering is a bully, but even if it's not a bully offering, it sucks that the match from the beginning of loading in is already stacked against you because someone brought a map that benefits them somehow.

Long story short, I think removing the ability for either side to pre-prep for a specific map in mind would at least reduce the amount of toxicity potential at least a little, and the maps will indeed come down to the mercy of the Entity instead of having some sort of player influence to stack something against you from the get-go.

    Interesting idea!

Since you can only specify one location, the effectiveness may be low.

On the other hand, it's a good thing because you can express your wishes without greatly affecting the balance of matching.

And, it is reasonable because the current offering that cancels map designation will be changed to the effect of canceling map ban.
