Legion robot sound question

I know this is a silly question, but I have to know. Why does the Legion in the white space outfit sound like a robot monkey when it's chasing me? It goes AA OO AA OO and sounds like a machine lol. Isn't it a human?

I have this outfit but can't use it because I can't play Killer due to vomiting from the first person :( Thank you in advance for any answers :D
