Custom matches not working on switch

When ever I try to play with bots it just says failed to connect with other players or just straight up crashes my game and when I start it it says connecting to other players which is disappointing because it works fine on my brother’s ps5 and I’m a bit rusty because I just now started playing again because I stopped after wesker came out so please fix this. It’s funny that mobile has a perfect custom game system but consoles is bugged
