The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Why no in game personal stats ?

Seriously , why doesn't dbd have a menu that displays personal player history for survivors and killers , escapes , kills etc. BHVR already tracks all this info. Why hide it from players ?

It's 2023. For online live service games this should be mandatory.

Well, pc players already have their stats saved on a separate website. It's easy to access.

In a recent interview ( a few days ago) M. Cote sad(in short), that it could make some people annoyed because that means start from 0 even if you played 10k hours.

They dont have individual stats of how many pallets you throw or times a killer is stuned and stuff like that.

If they create something like that everyone would start from 0.

Efficiency stats would be no problem for that. Stats that track in percentages like escape rates , kill rates etc. They only go from 0% to 100%. So no matter how long you played it will be the same.

Excuse is it would upset older players because not all their stats would be there. Granted that's been excuse for years, had they put it in earlier it would've only been missing couple years of stats instead of over 7 years. Really unfortunate they never implemented it and won't implement it. I started in 2018 and would be happy if they finally put in personal stats - not only would it be nice to see going forward but it would also help with tracking progress on achievements.

I think the real issue BHVR has with this (apart from technically implementing it, I mean, even minor UI/HUD changes take them ages to work on) is that it would make people more competitively-minded, for better or - in the opinion of the devs I suspect - worse. People would be expected to start wanting to pad their stats, caring more about killing and surviving, becoming even more upset with dying or failing to kill. Every match would feel like it "matters" more or is more important, given that it is being "recorded" and has a lasting "effect", essentially "forever". Again, this can be for the better and/or the worse, it can exacerbate frustrations of losing, increase the levels of trying hard and abusing potentially imbalanced gameplay elements (though it also could make winning more gratifying, and making people more competitive is also not strictly a bad thing, depending on who you ask it may even be desirable).
