Ultimate Weapon should be disabled when there is one survivor left in the trial.
For the most part I do believe Ultimate Weapon is a good and balanced perk and gives the killer good information throughout the trial, but the main issue is that once your the only survivor left you pretty much stand no chance.
The killer can simply open a locker and know exactly where you are, and its duration is 30 seconds, which means he can go around the map and guarantee you to reveal your location the moment you enter the killers terror radius. If you hide in a locker, you can’t stay in it for too long otherwise you get idle crows. This should be changed by making the perk disable when your the last survivor.

Honestly I disagree that it’s a fine perk. It outclasses about every other info perk so much that it makes them obsolete. It needs to be toned down overall I think.

You still have a chance to run to the hatch even if the killer knows where you are.

That's not really the problem with it. It's not a balanced perk at all and power-creeps basically every other info perk in the majority of situations. It being good against the last survivor is not really the issue, there are already other perks that do that and at that point it should be in the killer's favor anyways. Changing that aspect of it changes nothing about how oppressive it is during all other parts of the trial. Having it active for 30 seconds and basically being able to guarantee you can find everyone in that time is a problem with the perk in general, not just against the last survivor specifically. The cooldown is also too short.

So many people are running calm spirit now to counter it.
When I was the last person alive the killer tried to read my aura, distortion went off and I went blind. Calm spirit saved me, found the hatch and left.
They thought...lol.

It is too powerful for such a small simple task. When you have to bring a niche perk to fully counter a meta perk, thats not good at all. And for me personally, i dont want to always bring calm spirit. I love to hear my survivor get downed and scream on hook. It takes away the spirit of dbd.

Ultimate weapon is too much reward for very little effort and risk, especially paired with perks like iron maiden. It needs a rework.

Ultimate Weapon and other tracking perks working in a 1v1 scenario isn't a problem.

All they would need to do is have it last 30 seconds then go on CD for 90 seconds. Would require players to be more selective when they use it versus just spam it on CD.
It's stronger than the Dr.'s power, which is insane. No perk should replace a killer's power.

90 seconds will make this perk hot garbage tho.

I'm a killer main, and even I think it's overtuned. Maybe a 45 seconds cooldown?

They should keep it as is. Survivors get mft, so it's cool.

Yeah I think that'll be fine.
Two wrongs don't make a right. Both need changing.

Its almost like both perks are too strong and need to be reworked 🤯
Amazing

The perks aren't even comparable. One is an information perk and other is a haste perk. And not every discussion on this damn forum is about MfT.

Lethal is 1-time usage and provides you very similar information (where everyone is at start) - the difference is, that UW gives the information for shorter time and requires you to open locker, but allows you to use it also later in trial. Not to forget that it can't be countered by standard aura-blocking perk that was meta.
On top of it all it has blindness just slapped onto it - and better blindness then what you get from most of the killer addons that causes blindness - this blindness is actually very usable especially against survivor's meta perk (windows of opportunity).
90s cooldown is still IMO too lenient. I personally would go at it in a different way - keep 30s cooldown, but have the perk active for less then 1s - that way you can find (and blind) everyone in close vicinity of locker you decide to open, but you don't get map-wide information about every single survivor whenever you want.

your change don't sound to bad if im being honest. The 90 seconds definitely wouldn't work tho in my opinion. oppression, trail of torment, etc a good effect just doesn't outweigh a massive cooldown.

There are perks with long cooldown that do work (like dragon's grip - it's not meta by any definition, but it's still good perk). Still - if seeing/blinding everyone around locker works, then that should actually be enough

Why doesn't he regret his mistake of being left alone?
And just because someone is found doesn't necessarily mean they will be executed.
There must be something that can be done earlier or from there.
Don't try to get a huge opportunity just because you're in a pinch due to lack of effort.

Nah, no need for rework. Both sides can deal with it.

Uh, who cares? It's a perk you get for doing nothing n 1 you get for opening a locker. Pretty close to doing nothing.

30 second CD is far too short, it is insanely strong at 30 seconds.
30 seconds to run around the map, locate everyone, cause them to stop healing, working on gen, etc. And there is no drawback from the killer.
The CD should be atleast 90 seconds for the value this perk gives.

If you're the last survivor remaining, there isn't any contest left anyway since the killer scored 3 out of the 4 available game points.
Okay, so you get interrupted and go right back to what you're doing unless you're the one who gets chased. The killer can only go after one person at a time and matches can end in mere minutes. All things considered, I'm not seeing any actual problem with the perk. I doubt that slight inconvenience to survivor agency merits a nerf.
Now if gens couldn't get finished as fast as they can atm then you would definitely need to nerf UW down to Premium Weapon.
But since that's not the case...

I'd say, it stays active for 8 seconds and has a cooldown of 40 seconds

Hell even 4 seconds of it following you would be OK, but 30 seconds uptime is just stupid.
Of course I nitpick and say technically it's a 60s cooldown, but considering comparable perks like:
- Hex: Face The Darkness is every 25s, has a condition outside the killer control (injure a survivor), can be cleansed and has no additional effect.
- Thwack requires a hook, triggers on breaking a pallet or wall, and gives a 4s aura read.
- Infectious Fright requires a survivor to be down actually inside the terror radius with a 6s aura read.
I feel like Ultimate Weapon being on a 60s cooldown with a 4s scream aura and 30s blindness is still strong but actually requires intelligent use instead of being totally free. I'd argue the blindness could be a little shorter, but I'd have no major complaints with the perk in this state, and actually consider running it on my killers to not feel like a dirt bag.

make it active for 4s and I am perfectly fine with very strong but fair tracking perk
