Survivors, why do you only use the perk vigil in chase builds only?
So Vigil is a teachable for Quentin Smith and the perk’s ability allows you and other teammates within an 8 meter range to recover from several status effects like exposed, blindness, exhaustion, oblivious, broken and other status effects but the question I have with it is… why do people only use this perk for chase builds instead of other kinds of builds?
if you look into nightlight gg you’d see the perk is only common with chase builds (nothing is wrong with that but I think people underestimate what potential this perk can benefit you outside of chase builds)
For example: you can run it with deliverance to recover faster from broken status, you can run it with FTP so you can recover faster from broken status and help other teammates in slugging situations
and you can also use it in your build against blight’s Compound 33 cause it makes you recover faster from hindered status effect
you can pair it with second wind/renewal for faster healing after you get unhooked
you can even use it to recover from ultimate weapons blindness effect or even recover faster from exposed/instadown perks like haunted grounds, starstruck, hubris, etc.
what I’m trying to say is vigil is a very underrated perk and people underestimate its potential to benefit not only the person using it but also their teammates and it’s by far the most underrated perk in the game that everyone sleeps on

the whole point of vigil is to use 2 exhaustion perks in a single chase. It is just that numbers of vigil is like 40 second vs 30 seconds. it is way too ineffective at giving you two exhaustion triggers per chase. you need to walk a long time. If it was like 50% which is like 26 seconds then vigil would be strong chasing perk.
right now it is nothing more then gimmick perk.

Because exhaustion is the most important effect to overcome. I’m not worried about being broken, blinded, etc. But getting rid of exhaustion quickly is huge.

Because using it to get back Sprint Burst in 30 seconds is by far its most important and consistent use.
Your Renewal example doesn't work btw, it will remove the Broken status faster but the heal will still only happen after 20 seconds.

Never knew Vigil worked with Second Wind. I used to run Vigil with Dramaturgy when it first came out/
Although rare, I like Vigil for those anti-Exposed perks like Haunted, MYC or Starstruck.

Correction: turns out it doesn’t work with second wind

That’s fair but still it’s quiet nice running it with other perks like deli or even making a build around the perk vigil itself

it is too low impact to matter in most cases. reset exhaustion is only place where vigil has high impact.
