Knockout (Remix) Tome Challenge not working

While trying to complete said challenge, I have gained no progress. I have knocked down survivors with both the killer's special and normal (m1) abilities. (Specific: I was playing as the xenomorph on the Temple of Purgation map on PC).

    update: the challenge worked when play The Trickster, so perhaps it's an issue with the xenomorph?
