I went for (most of) the Survivor Adepts, this is what I have to say

I've been going on a bit of a achievement hunt recently, and after getting Outbreak Breakout, I took a look at my list of Achievements and found that I didn't have any of the Survivor Adepts except for Jake's, so I decided to not only go for all of the ones that I could, but also create a tierlist based on how difficult I found getting each of them ,because apparently I am a masochist and enjoy making myself suffer

Enjoy the Megathread as well as my sense of fashion

If you want to turn this into a drinking game, take a shot every time you read something along the lines of "bad teammates"

Dwight -

I was a little bit worried about getting Dwight's Adept due to the fact that I didn't have Leader or Bond maxed out, however, thanks to good teammates and a pretty bad Wesker, I was able to get it on my first try, Dwight's perks actually synergise very well with each other and I was able to get quite a bit of Prove Thyself value during the match, it was a easy Adept to get but it could have been a lot worse due to none of Dwight's perks working for himself, they all require a teammate in order to get any use, which isn't always available especially in SoloQ

Meg -

Meg went about as easily as one might expect, she has 2 perks that have been META since the game first released, as well as one of the most underrated stealth perks in the entire game, again, I got good teammates and a bad killer, and one quick match and a very upset Deathslinger later, I got Meg's Adept

Claudette -

Claudette's Adept was another I was mildly worried about due to Self-Care being basically worthless, however, thanks to getting a Artist on The Game, a Mikaela setting up a Circle of Healing, and my teammates recognising I was going for the adept and coming to me for 35% faster healing thanks to Botany made for a match where I not only escaped, but escaped without even going down once

Jake -

I already had my boy's Adept before going on my hunt, but I decided to do it again for the sake of completion and to give my thoughts, Jake's Adept worried me not because his perks are bad, far from it, Iron Will on it's own is incredibly useful, no, Jake's Adept worried me because he's my main, how much is Jake my main? As of writing this, my Jake is currently Prestige 92, and let me tell you, Survivors in SoloQ take one look at a high prestige and expect you to hard carry them, Lucky for them, I did, not only did I do 2 gens, not only did I get a Sabotage Save, I got out without even going down once again, Calm Spirit got a ton of value too since I was playing against a Huntress with Ultimate Weapon, I'm in the goddamn Zone when I play Jake

Nea -

Oh mother of God, Nea, I was dreading going for Nea's Adept, Streetwise is basically useless to me due to not running items, Balanced Landing is one of the clunkiest and least useful Exhaustion perks in the game, and I've hated Urban Evasion ever since I started playing in 2020, Nea's perks are garbage, and on top of that, the killers I went up against were starting to get actually dangerous, first game I got tunnelled out by a good Singularity and the second was a Freddy who actually got me to second stage, but I was able to get it on my second game by throwing a Kate under the bus and escaping with my life

Bill -

Unbreakable and Burrowed Time being good made up for the fact that Left Behind is dogshit, or at least they would have if I didn't go up against a Huntress who only got one hook and somehow missed every single Hatchet, not a lot to say, I got it in 10 minutes with little issue

David -

Oh ######### my life and call me a pencil, David's Adept is painful, No Mither being the worst perk in the game combined with Dead Hard being ######### and WGLF being niche on top of playing in SoloQ makes going for Adept David the closest thing DBD has to self-inflicted waterboarding

Laurie -

Laurie was a interesting one due to the fact that I had Object of Obsession, So I was going to be getting chased very frequently, but honestly the thing that was getting me killed wasn't OOO, it was my dipshit teammates, SoloQ's reputation for pairing people with the most useless and moronic of teammates was coming in full force with 2 matches back to back of suicidal teammates who were more focused on being a annoyance to the killer and myself then actually playing the game, it was infuriating, luckily I got it on my 3rd attempt thanks to a good SWF, a bad Pyramid Head, and leaving them to die when I saw NOED pop up

Ace -

Ace was going to be a weird one due to how his perks work, Open-Handed did help a lot thanks to the free extra Aura-reading, but Ace In The Hole and Up The Ante were...interesting, Luck is a really weird stat that I still don't understand how it works over 2 years of playing DBD later, and Ace In The Hole requiring chests to do literally anything without also using Plunderer's Instinct made for a surprisingly fun side-objective, I actually got a very strange bit of luck with Ace's Adept, The first match I played was against a Blight that was using a no TR build (Side note, a no TR Blight is two things, bullshit, and terrifying), and then the second match was against a goddamn Farming Bubba who just wanted to get a Archives challenge done, and was super polite in end-game chat, honestly I feel like that's in character for Ace

Feng -

Not quite as easy as Meg's, but Lithe and Alert being very good and Technician being okay made Feng's Adept a relative cakewalk, especially when the killer I was playing against was a ######### Walking Nurse on Badham

Detective Tapp -

Stake Out and Detective's Hunch are pretty useful perks, I didn't get value out of Tenacity due to the killer just not committing to a chase with me for some reason, but all in all, a pretty easy Adept, having map-wide aura revealing made planning what gens to do in what order a lot easier, and prevented a pretty nasty 3-gen against a Ghostface

Kate -

Boil Over being one of only 3 perks in DBD that I consider to be genuinely unhealthy aside, Kate's Adept was alright, I got plenty of value out of all of her perks and got paired with generally okay teammates and killers that actually tried to play the game, making for a fun series of matches

Also, rare 2023 Demogorgon Footage

Adam -

Teammates gave up in match one, A tunnelling Blight in match two, A tunneling Thana-Plague in match three, Adam's Adept was by far the most annoying just due to the game ######### me over rather then the perks, which is a shame because all of Adam's perks are good, Diversion's funny, Deliverance is very good, and Autodidact is really underrated

Jeff -

Chonky Jesus himself has 3 pretty okay perks, Distortion making me a Ghost with Aftercare letting me always see my teammates as a straight up better Bond (Don't @ me, you know i'm right), and Breakdown offering a bit of niche utility made for a pretty easy Adept, almost died to a face-camping Deathslinger, but I got out in the end

Jane -

The 5 year winner of the prestigious "Most sus injured sounds" award has 3 rather niche perks that I happen to actually like quite a bit, Solidarity is a fun perk that's useful in healing builds, Head On is, well, Head On, and Poised, while not always great, can be very good at confusing killers, I got the Adept in one shot thanks to good teammates and a okay but horribly outmatched Wesker

Ash -

Flip-Flop and Buckle Up being less then amazing (No, I will not take that back, Buckle Up without FTP is dogshit) and Mettle of Man being a a very painful minigame to get value out of made Ash's Adept pretty difficult, especially when the killers I get either tunnel or DC like the salt-cakes they are, but I managed to get it, even if I ended up in a match where I ended up getting #########-all value from any of his perks

Yui -

Best Girl (fight me and lose) has 3 meh perks honestly, Any Means Necessary isn't super useful without Chemical Trap and Breakout is niche, Lucky Break is alright but it really does need other perks to really make it work, had a very fun combination of a Thana-Plague and teammates just giving up in match one followed by a Skull Merchant who gave up in match two, which is how I got the Adept

Zarina -

Zarina's perks are just kind of meh in my opinion, Red Herring's funny but not super practical, Off The Record's useful but just worse then DS in every way, and For The People is a quirky little perk that only sees use via a stupid perk synergy, but one quick match on the reworked Borgo against a Ghostface netted me a pretty easy Adept

Felix -

Visionary was a surprisingly useful Aura-reading perk but I got exactly zero value out of Built to Last and Desperate Measures, both because I don't run items very much and because my teammates were GOATs and just not getting injured at all, combine that with a Bubba who didn't understand the Anti-Facecamping mechanic and you have a recipe for a easy Adept

Deception is funny, Power Struggle is niche, and Appraisal is okay, but they couldn't help me deal with ######### teammates who either DCed immediately or decided to form up a carpool to see who could end their existence in the dumbest, most avoidable way possible, and they just kept one-upping each other! Do you have any idea how many of my teammates have died screaming Leeroy Jenkins? More then zero! Which, as far as I'm concerned, is enough to exterminate the entirety of SoloQ

SAO Abridged references aside, Elodie's Adept wasn't that difficult, just frustrating due to bad teammates, which is the case with pretty much all of the adepts

Yun-Jin

The perfect RP character for every single selfish SoloQ player alive, Yun-Jin's perks are all honestly pretty meh, Fast Track is worthless and Self-Preservation barely does anything, Smash Hit's alright but it's still not nearly as good as something like Lithe or Sprint Burst, paired with bad teammates and Yun-Jin's Adept was honestly pretty difficult

Jill -

Blast Mine is one of my favourite perks in the game, Resurgance is okay and Counterforce is just kind of meh, however, none of that mattered because I got Jill's Adept on the first match against a very, very outmatched Bubba

Leon -

The biggest Twink in this entire game has two of my favourite perks, Flashbang and Bite The Bullet, I also had Rookie Spirit, but, the exact same as with Jill, I got a killer who I shouldn't have been matched with and got a free win against a Legion who got 0 hooks

Mikalea -

Clairvoyance working with Blessing totems is nice but having Shadow Step and COH together just doesn't really work, Shadow Step works best at a loop or building whereas COH is best used out of the way so that you are less likely to be interrupted by the killer, both don't really work well together, Luckily, Mikalea's was another easy one thanks to a really bad Blight who somehow lost with meta addons

Jonah -

Corrective Action being a band-aid for ######### SoloQ teammates and Overcome being the easiest to use Exhaustion perk in the game as well as Exponential just being sort of there made Jonah's Adept rather easy

Haddie -

Haddie's perks are kind of weird but also kind of fun, Overzealous rewards going for side objectives and not being seen, Inner Focus is just kind of alright, and Residual Manifest is...okay, I guess, I had quite a bit of fun with Haddie's Adept thanks to some GOATed killers who cared more about style points then actually winning

Ada -

I am not a fan of Ada's perks with the exception of Wiretap, Reactive Healing is just too niche for my liking and Low-Profile is just a weaker Lucky Break, luckily, I was able to get on my first try thanks to amazing teammates

Vittorio -

Potential Energy is one of my favourite perks in the game, Fogwise is pretty nice, and Quick Gambit, while niche, did prove surprisingly useful at times, I was able to get the Adept via a Hatch escape thanks to a Yoichi bringing a offering then getting himself killed

Thalita -

Thalita's perks are just kind of strange, Cut Loose and Friendly Competition are okay but Teamwork: Power of Two is way too restrictive to be of any use, a 140 second cooldown on a perk that has both a range requirement and requires you to both stay healthy is just plain bad, especially when MFT just exists and does what TPOT does but better, Thalita's took me a while due to ######### killers tunnelling me, but I was able to get it in the end

Renato -

Remember when everyone was screaming that Blood Rush was going to be META? Yeah, me too, Background Player after it's buff is also pretty good, but, like with his sister, Renato's Teamwork perk is just awful with too many restrictions, and it somehow manages to be WORSE then Power of Two due to getting rid of scratch marks and nothing else, I got zero value out of any of Renato's perks on the game I actually got the achievement, I like the concept behind the Teamwork perks, but they need far less stingy restrictions and a far shorter cooldown if they're going to see any use

Gabriel -

Gabriel has Made For This, that on it's own made his Adept really easy, but Troubleshooter was also pretty good and Scavenger was also surprisingly useful, didn't exactly save me from ######### teammates, but very few things in SoloQ can

Nicolas Fuckmothering Cage

God's gift to Humanity himself has 3 of the funniest perks in the game, Dramaturgy is my straight up favourite perk in the game, Plot Twist is fun for both trolling and for clutch plays, and Scene Partner's alright

Holy crap though, the match I got Nicolas Fuckmothering Cage's adept was something goddamn else, let me paint the scene

The Map? Eyrie of Crows, The Survivors? Myself, David, Feng, and Bill, The killer? Albert Wesker

The beginning of the game goes in our favour, Wesker has a hard time downing David before two gens pop, but, thanks to me being a dumbass and Plot Twisting in a very obvious spot, Wesker gets his first hook, and manages to snowball from there into getting two hooks on everyone, including killing the David before the final gen

Bill attempts to complete the last gen, and is a microsecond before the last gen pops...Wesker manages to grab him, killing him and completely rendering our chances of victory null and void

However, Wesker fails to kill either me or Feng, despite both of us being injured and on death hook, he's too worried about Feng or myself completing the final generator, this was a mistake on his part, him not committing allowed me to finish a entirely different generator on the other side of map, and when he finally does commit and kills Feng, I complete the last gen, Plot Twist to heal, and get onto the exit gate

However, as a Plot Twist to my Plot Twist, Wesker Bounds towards me and grabs me before the gate can be opened. I managed to open it but he's too close for me to just run and leave, I manoeuvre around him and make him miss a lunge, then vault a nearby window and make him vault it, that gives me almost enough distance

It's not quite enough, his power recharges and he prepares to Bound just as get to the gate, if he hits me, I'm dead

The world slows down, my heart's pounding and my nerves are shot, it's now or never

I take a deep breath and run to the side...

Wesker misses, he tries to body block but I manage to scrape past him and through the gate, I roar in triumph as the word "Escaped" flashes on screen, and in the top right corner, there it is, Adept Cage

I wish I had this match recorded for that final 60 seconds alone, it was easily the most hype DBD match I have played in ages, and was perfectly in character for Nicolas Fuckmothering Cage

nobeansnopartytv, if you're reading this, hats off to you, you were a King and a amazing killer to play against

Ripley -

Following the sheer lunacy of Nicolas Fuckmothering Cage, Ripley's Adept was a nice detox, Light-Footed and Chemical Trap are rather nice to have and Lucky Star was mid, but I was able to get it after a chill Trapper match, not a lot to say other then "Twas pretty good"

Here's my final ranking, I don't have Rebecca, Quinten, Yoichi, or Cheryl yet and don't plan on getting them any time soon, plus Steve and Nancy aren't in the store anymore and their achievements no longer exist, but I refuse to let the memory of Stranger Things die, so they're on there anyway

G'night

    This was a fun read.

I actually completed all trophies 2 days ago. The only one I've actually skipped a big potion of is the Skilled Huntress, as the trophy glitch meant I only needed 8 or so legit hatchets in the end, which was a god send for console... but all other trophies I got legit, or have since done the requirements passively (e.g. Outbreak Breakout).

I got quite lucky on most of the nasty ones. Laurie and David were first time attempts for me as I had a Artist who gave up on Haddonfield and a blind Ghost Face on Red Forest respectively.

The 2 that stick with me are Ace and Haddie... I dunno why, but the days I went for those 2, I must have been wearing some really offensive aftershave or something, cause I got brutal tunneled and camped... even if I looped really well, they hard committed to ensuring I died specifically... no matter how much hbof the game it was costing them xD

There were times in those 15+ game loss streaks I started to genuinely believe that being in a cute Feng Min skin improves your chances of survival 🤣🤣🤣

    Nice work!

As i remeber only David was hard due to No Mither and Nic Cage due to Scenepartner. These make you very vulnerable.

I think the surv adepts are still the easy ones as you only have to play so long until you get a weak killer or a good team.

The killer ones are really hard to do. If you are not a main some you can only get with pure luck and a really bad team.

David's was def the hardest! Grats on that Outbreak achievement, I still don't have it. Think I'm like 8/20, but I did take almost a 6 month break.
