Can someone please explain to me how this was a valid hit?

But I was fast vaulting and it seems I was a decent distance from the hit but was still somehow hit... Thankfully I just finished doing a haunt so I had endurance but still; that hit was a bit far that it landed.

DBd logic. You had better ping then the killer.
But yah I have noticed the new vaults are a gamble the game may give them a hit or a wall. its up to how the game feels.
