DBD Anonymous mode causing lobby jumping
This has been going on for a while now but players are skipping lobbies when they see anonymous players.
The reason for this is that some of them simply kill themselves/give up at the start of game, whether this is because of the killer or trying to lower ranking I don't know
What I do care about is that there is no way of avoiding these players as previously you could tag them and avoid them, now the pool is larger for players to avoid them with anyone wanting to play anonymous.
Does 'BLOCK' actually do anything on anonymous players at endgame?

Then there is no way to avoid someone wishing to remain anonymous from constantly lowering their mmr and ruin the game for everyone else?

If you want to suggest a way to avoid matching with specific players, you are welcome to open a thread in our Feedback and Suggestions section.

I see plenty of non-anon survivors give up immediately.

They don't allow you to block playing with someone because there would be people blocking others just because they lost

So do I but I see more anonymous do this

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Thanks for the clarification.
Can we please get a block to not play with them? I've had stalkers harass me and I can only report them to steam IF they're on steam.
Stalkers are a very serious issue and there should be a way to not run into someone again. Reporting does nothing as this issue goes outside the game. A simple block would be best.

This discussion has come up so many times. The devs seem to think it'll be abused and might make queue times worse (tbh I think if someone is getting blocked so much they're having trouble finding a game, then maybe it's deserved...). Anyway, I've said before we should each get like 5 or so block spaces each so can only block a limited number of people.

How do other MMOs deal with this?

The devs think it'll be abused and make queue times worse because most would block for any reason.there be a lot of blocked people if it happened.

And for a limited amount of time. Like a week tops. Like in Overwatch

Exactly. It would get so abused. Blocking people because they're good loopers, because they play a killer they don't like etc.

Overwatch also had a fairly small limit to the number of people you could avoid at one time. You got 3 slots total and had to remove someone to add another.

oh you have no idea about the amount of dull totem cleansers i would block.
to op: there is *i think* no reason for people to go anon; they can just derank with anon mode off and won't have any issues.

Yeah, that's why I think a limited list would work. I keep a list of usernames to avoid and after 3 years of playing there's only 6 names on it. Alot of folk aren't that reasonable though so best they don't have an unlimited list.
