Custom Chapter: Rulers And Rebels

Options

The fear of a murderer is one thing, but fearing a government is another. It makes someone not want to say or do something wrong, lest they end up imprisoned, missing, or worse. But within that fear is always someone who threw away their fears to fight for what is right.

Map:

Welcome to Gran Columbia, a country that has never seen peace. Currently, it is under the iron fist of its president, Daniel García.

GARCÍA MANSION - PRESIDENTIAL GROUNDS

It all led to this moment. Three whole years of rebellion and now the rebel group, La Espadas, were at the president's door. But García and his true followers were reluctant to give in. For a week, they didn't budge as Rebels threw rocks, bottles, and grenades through the windows. Not a single soldier inside surrendered. After the seventh day, it was time to assault.

It took an agonizing three hours to fully assault the complex that felt like an eternity to all involved. The walls had been stained with countless bullet holes and explosions and the many statues and pictures of Daniel García had remained mostly untouched and stood tall as the only things that could truly describe the meat grinder that occurred within this mansion.

The Dictator - Daniel García

After murdering his father for control of Gran Columbia, Daniel García sought to destroy his father's legacy, driving the country into a further state of despair. Not like 'El Presidente' cared anyway about the people, he only cared about the power that came with position.

Power: El Presidente

Your Trial, your country.

At the start of a Trial, you have access to two Officers, two Radar Stations, and a Revolver.

SPECIAL ABILITY: OFFICERS

By pressing and holding the Power button, you can press the Attack button or the Alternate Ability button to command an Officer to guard an object or make them return to patrolling.

Officers can guard Generators, Hex Totems, Radar Stations, and areas. Officers guarding an object are less inclined to leave the object if they spot a Survivor, only leaving if a Survivor gets too close. An Officer merely guarding an area will chase the first Survivor they see immediately.

You cannot order an Officer to guard a Generator if only 2 Generators need to be repaired. Officers cannot destroy Pallets or Breakable Walls, vault Windows, grab Survivors, nor pick up downed Survivors. If they down a Survivor, they automatically guard the dying Survivor until the Survivor is picked up, lured away, or ordered somewhere else.

Officers will speak to you about things they see through the walkie-talkie you're using to order them around. By default, both Officers guard the 2 Radar Stations.

SPECIAL OBJECT: RADAR STATIONS

By default, 2 Radar Stations spawn within a Trial.

Interacting with the Radar Station causes all Survivors to have their Aura revealed to you for 20 seconds. The Radar Station then enters an 80 second cooldown before it can be used again.

Survivors can interact with a Radar Station to stop the Aura reveal or, while it's on cooldown, pause the cooldown for 60 seconds until The Dictator interacts with it or the timer expires.

Radar Stations are automatically disabled upon only a single Survivor being left remaining in the Trial.

PASSIVE ABILITY: REVOLVER

Unlike most, The Dictator doesn't like getting his hands dirty.

The Revolver has 6 shots in it before needing to be reloaded. Attempting to attack while the Revolver is empty causes The Dictator to bash with the gun itself. If the bash connects with a Survivor, they become injured and suffer from the Concussed Status Effect for a short duration.

To reload, press the Alternate Ability button. Reloads can be canceled at any time by pressing the Attack button during the animation.

The Revolver does not deal basic attacks, but inherits the effects of basic attacks upon shooting a Survivor in the head or bashing a Survivor.

"To do things right, you need to do them yourself." -The Dictator

Concussed Status Effect:

The Concussed Status Effect is a new Effect made by yours truly. A Survivor suffering from the Concussed Status Effect makes their screen get fuzzy similar to being affected by a Clown Bottle, but not as intense.

Additionally, a Survivor may find it difficult to move in a straight line and they gain double vision for their HUD.

The Dictator Perks:

AUTHORITARIAN

I command thee, kneel!

When a Survivor fails a Skill Check outside your Terror Radius, they will suffer from the Concussed Status Effect for 10/12/14 seconds

If you hit a Survivor with a basic attack and they vault a Window or Pallet within 2 seconds of the hit, they will also become Concussed for 7/8/9 seconds

"S-Sir, are you sure you want to do this? I'm not questioning your decision or anything, it just... it feels like the point of no return." -Julio Rodriguez

SCOURGE HOOK: OUTCAST

Rats will always stick together. Spawns 4 Scourge Hooks in the environment.

Upon Hooking a Survivor on a Scourge Hook, the closest Survivor to your position has their Aura revealed and they gain a 10/15/20 meter radius

Any Survivor within this radius also their Aura revealed

After 10 seconds have passed, the Survivor with the radius has that radius decay down to 0 meters over the next 15 seconds before the effects from Scourge Hook: Outcast end.

"Like rats, when you find one, there's bound to be more nearby. Check the basement." -The Dictator

HEX: CULT OF PERSONALITY

After 30 seconds of a Trial starting, all Generators and unopened Chests not being interacted with become blocked by the Entity and Hex: Cult of Personality lights a Dull Totem and activates.

A Survivor needs to perform a 10/12/14 second interaction to remove the Entity's Grasp and this interaction will not be reset if the Survivor stopped or was interrupted

After 30 seconds of the Entity's Grasp being removed, the Entity will grab it again if it isn't interacted with within that time

Effect is disabled once the associated Hex Totem is destroyed.

Survivors cannot remove the Entity's Grasp if it wasn't grabbed due to Hex: Cult of Personality.

"You worry me, son, not because you can't lead this great country, but because you speak of violence even your grandfather would never utter." -Santiago García

Martin Santos - Rebel Leader

After being forced into conscription and eventually being discharged and imprisoned, Martin Santos formed the rebel group, La Espadas, in hopes of tearing down the García Regime after using a prison riot to gain freedom.

Martin has now become the face of La Espadas and spreads hope to those who see him in action, but even then, he's worried about what will happen to Gran Columbia if his group actually comes out on top.

Martin Santos Perks:

REVOLUCIÓN

They won't know what hit 'em!

After working on a Generator for 60/50/40% repair, Revolución activates.

Entering a Locker while not holding a Special Item and pressing the Ability button has you craft a Plastic Explosive

Upon pressing the Drop Button, you will drop the Plastic Explosive and it will arm after 6 seconds. The Plastic Explosive will then be replaced by a Detonator and pressing the button causes the Platic Explosive to detonate

If a Killer is near the Plastic Explosive, it stuns them. It also can destroy downed Pallets and Breakable Walls.

The Killer can destroy a Plastic Explosive by performing an interaction. If this happens, Revolución fully resets and requires more Generator repair progression.

The Plastic Explosive and Detonator are left behind when escaping a Trial. No other Survivor can pick up your Detonator or Plastic Explosive.

"We are going to march to that bastard's home, kick down his door, and spill his own blood! ¡Viva Espadas!" -Martin Santos

DEFECTOR

When the Killer has an Aura revealed to them, you will also see it and for 1/2/3 seconds longer

Generator Auras will not be revealed to you unless the Killer sees them in a different color other than the default

You cannot see the Aura of Exit Gate Switches and Hex Totems with Defector.

"Señor Presidente, it's almost as if they know our next move before we act on it. We may need to change tactics." -Amalia Colomar

GUERILLA WARFARE

Upon another Survivor getting into a chase, you will see their Aura.

When the Survivor becomes injured, you see the Aura of the Killer and all Killer Objects and Totems for the next 4/5/6 seconds

"Shh...! Just wait a minute more! They'll be down here soon, they're predictable like that." -Martin Santos

Well, that's the whole thing! Tell me what you think.
