Self care does NOT work on console

I'm trying to do my time 1 challenges and self care is a part of it, I just need tk heal but apparently with controller your bar just never goes up?

That is a visual glitch that can occasionally happen. Keep healing yourself you should heal. It happend to me and I just kept going and got healed eventually.
